Title: Ronaldinho
Description: not so much a rumour as a suggestion

Mr Brighterside - June 2, 2008 07:29 PM (GMT)
Some sites have suggested Ronaldinho as a signing and I like the idea

good place for him to resurrect his career after his problems at barca, would be much less than he would have cost 2 or 3 years ago plus would make a fortune in marketing!

although is over 20 and already is known by more than 3 people, making him highly unlikely.

No

Grimandi's Perm - June 2, 2008 07:32 PM (GMT)
Not interested in signing players who have no interest in playing football any more.

XsNrG - June 2, 2008 07:32 PM (GMT)
Couldn't afford him anyway :coffee:

2charlies - June 2, 2008 07:35 PM (GMT)
No thanks...no players with a circus in situ around them ta...what next Beckham?

Marc Overmars - June 2, 2008 07:36 PM (GMT)
If he WANTS to play for us then i'd snap Barca's arm off for him. He seems to of gone off the rails though and has become more of a brand than an actual footballer. Not the sort of circus I'd like here.

McNamara That Ghost... - June 2, 2008 07:40 PM (GMT)
The nightclubs would see him more than Arsene!

AW/RM's YoungGuns - June 2, 2008 07:40 PM (GMT)
It'd be a huge gamble about whether he could adapt to the EPL.

Don't think there is any question about whether he could adapt. Remember that goal against Chelsea when he steamrolled Terry.

Can't really imagine him being up for a rainy day at Wigan though.

Ronaldinho's a great player, but I think we'd be better off finding someone a bit younger and a bit less pricey than him. His reputation (and thus his price-tag) is bigger than the player at the moment.

That's what I mean.

I don't mean against clubs that play football (yes Chelsea don't play good football, but they try)

It's basically all other teams outside of the top 6.

Synergetic - June 2, 2008 08:09 PM (GMT)
No big club seems interested - there has to be something in that. I don't know where he'd slot into the team either.

Central defence im assuming...

bergstar - June 2, 2008 08:46 PM (GMT)
He needs a new challenge for sure. If he's fit then he'd fit in quite perfectly. How many games did Hleb play as a support striker again ?

Far more than that my friend, he spent more time in that position than he did on either flank.

dr.gonzo - June 2, 2008 09:25 PM (GMT)
if he showed a commitment to getting back into top shape than yes as mentioned above he would fit in perfectly and add some much needed experience.

marc - June 3, 2008 07:20 AM (GMT)
I'd take him in a second. Some players are worth a risk and he's one who definately is as if he even gets close to his best he would have a great impact.

Not to mention the fact that he would raise our profile greatly which could deter a lot of unsettling rumours of our players leaving for 'bigger' clubs.

realreyes - June 3, 2008 08:10 AM (GMT)
we are struggling to afford a nasri. what makes u think we can afford dhino. M.city are offering him 200k a week anyway. we cant compete

McNamara That Ghost... - June 3, 2008 08:51 AM (GMT)
They don't even have a manager yet.

Gooner4Life84 - June 3, 2008 03:21 PM (GMT)
2 or 3 years ago i would`ve said definatly. But not now. He`s still a quality footballer. But i just feel he`s on his way down now.

xc4libur - June 3, 2008 09:00 PM (GMT)
I think Ronaldinhos best days are over so hes not a player for us.
