I thought I'd run this up the flagpole and see who salutes. ;)

Would look but I'm too busy real-timing :good:

My boss once told me that the art of browsing the web while working and switching between the two, particularly when a boss walks past, is called multi-slacking.

Don't think I'll be putting that as a skill on my CV.

Old games used to have a 'Boss Key' which, when you hit it, chucked a spread sheet onto the screen to hide everything.

Ages ago my then manager shouted at me for playing Solitare at work.

Thing is, he sat opposite me so there was no way he could directly see my screen. Couldn't begin to work out how he knew what I was up to and I eyed colleagues suspiciously to see if someone was grassing me up.

Then, a few weeks later, I saw one of the secretaries changing a light - we had neon light strips. As she did so I noticed something...the light grills were reflective. I went over to where the manager was sat, looked up the the light above my desk and sure enough there reflected in it was my screen!

of course you could just do some work rather than worry about the ways you might get caught ;)

Well now you're just being silly.

I always look for reflective surfaces before jerking off putting anything on screen. BTW - Solitaire-wise, the mouse-clicking is a bit of a giveaway as well.

I actually wondered if it was the double clicking so I tried double clicking for a bit to see if he'd yell at me. But no.

When the penny dropped I took a screenshot of the Solataire screen, put it on my backdrop and waited for him to bite.
