Sounds good to me, I'd take Ronaldinho as well...............sure he's been off the boil for a bit but he's a proven talent clearly in need of a new challenge.
Barca never looked the same without him last season, they lacked a cutting edge. AW could no doubt reinspire him, after all he nearly signed him once....so he must like him..
Absolute - June 19, 2008 07:20 AM (GMT)
I hope he stays. Fantastic player, sadly undervaulued by the ignorant.
And they can keep Ronnie and Eto'o. I've no interest in signing players living off their reputation.
Professor Zim - June 19, 2008 07:26 AM (GMT)
Undervalued :scoff: he runs around like a headless chicken, doesn't score and doesn't create....hardly undervalued, I'd say he's more overrated by the ignorant.
The Emirates Gallastico - June 19, 2008 07:35 AM (GMT)
Hleb can cock off. For the amount of fuss he's generated, he does fcuk all to warrant it ton the pitch.

And get a player with a worse attitude than you consider van Persie to have?!
Also, 'in talks', I hate that phrase, not sure what it actually means, it could consist of:
"Can we sign Hleb?"
"No"
"Please?"
"No"

Seymour Butts - June 19, 2008 07:45 AM (GMT)
As long as we dont get bummed in the deal I dont care if he goes - very skillful player with very little end product. I would rather have a player who will contribute more in terms of goals and assists. Ideally I would like to see some sort of swap deal involving Yaya (possibly Eto?) but I think Barca want to hang onto him.

Straight swap for Yaya Toure would do me fine, pick up a replacement for Flamini and still have funds for other things.

According to a gooner on Redcafe they bidded 12 million euros, were told to shove it up their arses and are now looking at Hernanes.

I'd hate to see Hleb go because his ability to keep the ball and get himself out of troublesome situations to free up the strikers and other midfielders is a gift that very few players have... Sure he might not have an eye for goal but then goals aren't the be all and end all for a midfielder... You only have to look at Ray Parlour or Vieira to see that...
I'm a big fan of Hleb as he offers something that is rarely seen in the EPL these days, ball retention... If played on the left or bhind the striker he has shown he can offer alot to the team and I think his work-rate is another aspect of his game that should be applauded...
I'd be disappointed if Hleb were sold but if the price is right and we can get a player of equal or better ability then things will level themselves out...
Really it's Flamini who needs to be urgently replaced IMO

GIAFR
man you'd be bored if only got Eboue to rip the shite out of. Still not convinced you've ever actually watched Hleb play, but I guess Diaby with Cesc in the centre may give you some fuel ;)
McNamara That Ghost... - June 19, 2008 08:47 AM (GMT)
IT, I guess some people are trying to make themselves feel better with the prospect of him going I think.

As a player i dont want to see him leave, he's a vital part of our team and how we play and is extremely undervalued and it will show if he goes. His attitude however concerns me at the moment and dont want to see players play who dont give a toss..
Marc Overmars - June 19, 2008 10:58 AM (GMT)
We should be looking for a player exchange imo, if not then I hope we make every penny back plus a bit on top..
otobeagoonahUSA - June 19, 2008 11:13 AM (GMT)
i heard hleb for bojan idk about u guys...
:good: :)
Marc Overmars - June 19, 2008 11:19 AM (GMT)
No thanks...
I was thinking more along the lines of Toure or Eto'o.
otobeagoonahUSA - June 19, 2008 11:25 AM (GMT)
jk about that
lets keep him and sit him on the bench
always good to have depth!

Why when we sign a player (Nasri) must we get rid of someone else? we have place for both Hleb and Nasri so why are we getting rid of Hleb? we're hardlygoing forward like that... I hope Hleb stays.

I am not sure we have to much choice in the matter tbh - I dont think he is happy and Wenger will not keep someone against their will. As long as he is suitably replaced I don't care as he has little end product. If we were to get Yaya in a swap deal and then replace Hleb with Arshavin then happy days! \if we sell Hleb and end up starting the season with Diaby on the wing then I will be titsed off!
hymppi - June 19, 2008 02:38 PM (GMT)
hleb out,( don't) let the door hit you on the way out.
yaya in.
and arshavin too! he's great for a little guy.

He's off and good riddance.
gunner 83 - June 19, 2008 04:31 PM (GMT)
let him go mr i aint got a pair to shoot
selassie - June 19, 2008 06:57 PM (GMT)
Hleb doesn't desire the shirt anymore, screw him. I like him as a player, but he's exposed himself to be a little traitor this summer, I wonder if he enjoys the ice cream in Barcelona as much as the Ice Cream in Milan.
nappy
