Yep me too, I think he's a top player and whilst he hasn't taken the Euro's by storm, he's been sound.

I said on the Spain match threads he's a carbon copy of Rosicky with the way he plays, a very much a Hlebisky player.

I think this could be a good signing, not one to put us over the top and not an improvement on Hleb (they are just so different from one another), but a good piece of the squad puzzle.

If he improves under Wenger, as so many players seem to do, then he could really turn out to be quite a player.

But anyway, I highly doubt we'd use our budget on three creative midfielders in one summer, even in the event that Hleb leaves. Especially for the price that Silva's being touted at and the fact that we're poised to spend a fair amount on Nasri.

Very talented player though, can see him improving a lot as well.

Can't say Silva has particuarly caught my eye for Spain, but he does have a good left foot on him. 20m though?? no chance.

Thats a rather sweeping statement! Can you actually justify such a statement as I for one think Silva could be a great player for us having the option of Nasri, Silva and Rosicky as our three main wide men could interchange and added to Cesc in the middle we would have a midfield able to create so many chances for the front two as well as rotating during the match to confuse the opposition.

Thats why we have players like Theo and Vela that can also operate in that area against certain teams its all about versaltility to adapt to the situation and yes they are similiar but having players like that make us stronger!

Perhaps not for that much but I'd suggest not bringing in a player because they are 'similar' (on the basis of last season) isn't the best idea - in fact having a similar player might even be the best thing to do...consistency can be maintained without needing the same player in the team all the time...

All of these players: hleb, nasri, rosicky, vela, walcott, eduardo, adebayor, RVP, eboue ( ;) )
If we have all of them, Silva might not even make the substitutes lol.

plus if we do get another one, id take arshavin instead...

Silva is miles better than anyone on that list.
