Not really seen much of him tbh.

Injury Time - June 25, 2008 08:58 AM (GMT)
hmm he sucked for Spain under pressure, so he'll fit straight in. We were linked with him last summer/january I think

hymppi - June 25, 2008 01:40 PM (GMT)
didn't look too good at spain team.

AW/RM's YoungGuns - June 25, 2008 01:45 PM (GMT)
He was absolutely on fire for Real Mallorca last season - finished top scorer (I think) in Spain with almost 30goals, and this is for Mallorca! I think they finished in 8th place or something? You can compare him to Santa Cruz in that respect, both from lower placed leagues but still managed to score a hell of a lot of goals, though Guiza scored about 10more the Santa Cruz.

Cripps - June 25, 2008 01:45 PM (GMT)
27 goals

7th place

AW/RM's YoungGuns - June 25, 2008 01:49 PM (GMT)
Yeah just checked :good:

Marc Overmars - June 25, 2008 02:01 PM (GMT)
No way I'd want him at the expense of Ade

LuvMeGooners - June 25, 2008 02:33 PM (GMT)
Well, put it this way. When I've seen him play during Euro 2008, I thought he was a bag of shite.

Now that there's rumour of us signing him......I still think he's crap, and we could do much, much better.

Lancastrian Gunner - June 25, 2008 02:38 PM (GMT)
He's not been great at Euro 2008

Coca Kolo - June 25, 2008 02:47 PM (GMT)
never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever judge a player at an international tournament.

unless they are russian

Spurs Hate La-Sagna - June 25, 2008 03:25 PM (GMT)
Looks absolute crap, when he stepped up to take his penalty for Spain I said to my dad he's going to miss, and hey presto, he missed. Never looked confident, had a sh*t game.... but then again I haven't seen him for his domestic team.

fari - June 27, 2008 12:16 AM (GMT)
he did score a good goal today though. andy gray commented on the fact that he came on after torres had given the defenders a good workout for about 65 mins or so

Not sure if he's not a one-season wonder, his previous record is pretty average.

Also, he always looks a bit miserable and he's got to cut out that stuoid celebration.

He'll probably go to Barca for £20 million then. :ilt:

Also, he always looks a bit miserable

yeah, I noticed that too.

but assumed it was just a national team thing, sort of a "oh, woe is me, I play behind Torres and Villa" kind of thing

it adds a whole new dimension to the dismissal of a striker as a donkey

Eeyore, the old grey Donkey, stood by the side of the stream, and looked at himself in the water.
"Pathetic," he said. "That's what it is. Pathetic."
He turned and walked slowly down the stream for twenty yards, splashed across it, and walked slowly back on the other side. Then he looked at himself in the water again.
"As I thought," he said. "No better from this side. But nobody minds. Nobody cares. Pathetic, that's what it is."

I saw quite a bit of Mallorca last season, and he looked good. In the Euros, he probably hasn't impressed too many people, although this is his debut in International football, and he's already scored 2 goals, having started only one game, which isn't bad.

Thing about Toni is that he always tries so hard....I always feel sorry for him.

I hear his wife (and agent) is quite, er, impressive :yikes:

there's a banner ad for bi-polar disorder at the bottom of my page.

Must be because of Eeyore.

It is funny though.

I personally like the look of him. You`ve got to have something about you, if you top score in La Liga for a team like Mallorca finishing 7th.

This is definately a no go, he has followed Aragones to Fenerbache.
