Title: Adebayor 70-80% signing for A.C
Description: Truth or Agent Guff?

Agent Vincenzo Morabito has claimed that Emmanuel Adebayor is inching closer to a move to Milan because Arsenal are seeking a replacement for the Togo attacker.

The African ace was top scorer for The Gunners last term and has also attracted firm interest from Barcelona as speculation over his future persists.

Despite Arsene Wenger insisting Adebayor is not for sale, the Emirates chief has had to contend with the open courting of both the former Monaco forward and Alexander Hleb.

Morabito has now fanned the flames further by claiming Arsenal, who have been linked with the likes of Roque Santa Cruz and Mario Gomez, are assessing whether they can land a replacement for Adebayor.

"Until this search is concluded, the deal does not take off," explained the agent to Studio Sport.

"But I am very optimistic because Arsenal are looking for a player.

"The percentage likelihood of the arrival of Adebayor to Milan, today, is 70 to 80 percent."

Milan vice-chairman Adriano Galliani recently stressed Adebayor is his side's only striking target this summer and, if a deal cannot be brokered with Arsenal, the Rossoneri will not look elsewhere.

Is there any truth in what this burk is saying? or is it just his feeble attempt at extorting more money out of our Club?

I've heard £30 million figure a bit that'd be worth cashing in, surely!

I think the fact, if the quote is accurate, the agent speaks of being "optimistic" a deal can be done says a lot about the disgraceful nature we are all well aware of in agents, that they are always looking to move players on to take a cut of the fee. Why not be optimistic Arsenal will definitely not sell, and his player can continue to be productive and happy where he is? Tosser.

I know we say it every day but the arrogance of this total cuntbag is unbelievable. Another self appointed super agent who is able to tap up players during CL games (Hleb) and is now able to give the inside story on what Arsenal are doing and Ade is saying, exploiting the fact Arsenal can't say jack shit (because of stock exchange rules) and increasing the pressure on Ade whose head must be just spinning. Surely something must be done by FIFA to control agents and brokers behaviour, they are just running roughshod over the game like Vikings on an East Coast rape and pilage spree with clubs powerless and professional bodies unwilling to get involved. This stuff bullies players into making moves and just isn't right but oh no Platini won't get involved he'd rather focus his efforts in cutting back the EPL teams financial dominance and making us all where knee length shorts with jumpers for goalposts, the nappy.

If thats true (which I doubt) he can feck right off. One good season is not enough to warrent him that amount of money.

Be fair though, he might want to build his mum and massive brand new pad in the middle of the slums in Brazil so he needs that pay rise.....he's a kind soul in that way!

Liverpool striker Crouch is among Wenger's targets, according to Morabito, along with Blackburn Rovers' Roque Santa Cruz and Stuttgart frontman Mario Gomez.

"Arsenal are looking for Adebayor's replacement," Morabito told Italian TV show Studio Sport.

"The names being talked about are Peter Crouch, Blackburn striker Roque Santa Cruz and Germany forward Mario Gomez.

"Until that search is over, the negotiations won't reach the final stage, but I am fairly optimistic.

"What are the chances of Adebayor joining Milan? At this stage, we are at 70 per cent to 80 per cent."

I just saw this and i think it confirms that this is both guff and that the guy's a fool!

QUOTE

Emmanuel Adebayor's agent, Vincenzo Morabito, claims AC Milan have a "70 to 80% chance" of signing the Arsenal striker.

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani revealed last week that Adebayor was his club's sole transfer target this summer.

It now appears that the Rossoneri are close to securing their man, with Arsenal reportedly already searching for his replacement.

"Milan have already stated their position, while Arsenal have started moving in the market in the hunt for an attacker to replace Adebayor," Morabito told Italian television channel Mediaset.

"Until that search ends the deal won't move forward but I am quite optimistic because Arsenal are looking for a player. They're talking about (Mario) Gomez, (Roque) Santa Cruz, and (Peter) Crouch.

"I'd say there's a 70 to 80% chance Adebayor will go to Milan."

Reports in Spain suggested that Barcelona had reached a deal to sign Adebayor for 27 million euros, but Morabito confirmed the 24-year-old Togo international favours a move to the San Siro.

"With all respect to Arsenal, [Adebayor] would be very happy to play for the Rossoneri. Therefore, if the two clubs reach an agreement, the deal will be finalised."

It virtually translates to;

AC have aproached Arsenal, Arsenal we're not willing to negotiate, but recently i heard that arsenal are looking at buying one of the above strikers, so this must mean that they are prepared to sell Adebayor! and the deal will be completed when they have agreed to buy a striker!

Yeah nice one mate!

What an idiot!

This Adebayor story is getting really tiresome; hope it gets sorted out soon, otherwise our start of the season could be affected by this incessant speculation that is not doing anyone favours.
