surley an olympic sub forum has 2 be made??

Why?

its a gr8est sporting event (apart from the world cup) that takes place once every 4 years and i find it important tht we shud make a forum where we can discuss it.

You could just start a thread in Other Sport section?

This is an Arsenal forum. If you want to discuss the Olympics, I guess the sensible thing to do would be to find an Olympics forum.

we made forms for euro 2008 and olympics is related 2 football and sport so 1 shud be made imo.

A thread in the Other Sport section seems fair enough and that will mostly be about the football and maybe the 100m

I think it'll be better if we had more than just the one thread for the Olympics though. Donno how we could split it up...perhaps "Track" and "Field" should be two seperate threads since they'll probably be the most popular. Then one for other sports?

If we just make an Olympics section (one section), unlike the one for Euro 2008 then the events can be discussed however you want. I don't think one thread would really suffice for so many events.
