Right, i'm having a birthday celebration on Friday, at Pizza Hut. I've invited my friends who i want to be there using the facebook events invite.

Trouble is someone found out about it who i don't particularly like and don't want to be there and has put himself down as "attending" i really don't want him there cos it'll make the day crap and don't know how to get rid of him in the nicest safest possible way.

Easy- cancel the event on Facebook, say you have to do it another day due to illness or something.

Then let all your decent friends know it's still on really.

And go to somewhere better than Pizza Hut.

Ideally you shouldn`t have used Facebook to advertise your b.day party to your friends. Should`ve just text or phoned em.

Tell this person through the Facebook that he can`t come. If he asks why. Tell him that only a certain number of people can come. And if he came it`d be too many.

Could cancel the event but not everyone is familiar with facebook, and could confuse people.

Only other way is to say i've booked a table for 20 (which i have done) and say there's no more space so he can't come along? Out of order but it might work....
