It'll be Hamilton but it should be Andy Murray.

KaiserKolo - December 14, 2008 03:15 PM (GMT)

Chris Hoy is also within a shout. But Hamilton will win it because he's the biggest name.

Gooner4Life84 - December 14, 2008 03:28 PM (GMT)
Anyone but bloody Adlington. Her face annoys me <_<

Unfortunatly i think she`ll win it. Wouldn`t surprise me if Hamilton didn`t win as he isn`t as warmly recieved by the British public as Adlington.

Yeah either her or Hamilton will win it.

Would be good if Murray could win it, he won't though.

Achoo - December 14, 2008 03:32 PM (GMT)
Has anyone got a picture of this Adlington bint?

Not...really...

If he wins Wimbledon (or another grand slam) next year then yeah.

Not sure if Hamilton deserves it, it's one of those years where there are loads of good candidates though what with our success in the Olympics.

Adlington arguably deserves it the most

Synta Claus - December 14, 2008 07:26 PM (GMT)
Nah. At least Tennis is a real sport. None of this driving or swimming crap. Tennis is a proper sport with proper competition. :good:

The Crippler - December 14, 2008 07:43 PM (GMT)
I imagine it'll be Hamilton.

Well...it is, but Murray didn't win anything of significance.
He beat Federer and Nadal though which shows he can mix it with the best.
If he wins one of the Grand Slams next year then yeah, he'll deserve it.
Not this year.

Pleased she won the young award. Anyone who can come through what she has had to contend with, still have a bright personality and win against all the odds deserves the highest respect. I confess to having watering eyes when she did it - some people make you feel utterly humble.

Achoo - December 14, 2008 08:09 PM (GMT)
Who is she?

Hamilton on now sucking up to the audience

Twat

Only the performance director of British Cycling. Fully deserved. Shame I think this telegraphs tha fact that none of the cyclists will scoop the big one, when of course they should be 1-2-3-4, in any order

Achoo - December 14, 2008 08:46 PM (GMT)

I noticed that

Achoo - December 14, 2008 08:50 PM (GMT)
Bolt wins the overseas award.

Good choice.

Rors - December 14, 2008 08:50 PM (GMT)
Bet he won't do that during 'Golden Victoria's regular pauses to grin just a little bit wider...

Sod off Coe

Overseas goes to Bolt - fine choice

The Crippler - December 14, 2008 08:54 PM (GMT)
Any of the nominees will be worthy winners. It's been a good year for British sport.

Rkane - December 14, 2008 08:54 PM (GMT)
Wtf has Heather small got to do with this?
