Two very interesting semi-finals tonight as we have Taylor v. The King King as well, and there's some needle there

Barney beat James Wade, unsurprisingly.

Taylor been on for a 9 darter twice - got a 10 & an 11.

Going to be a corking final tomorrow. Taylor & Barney are still in a different league to anyone else. Wade's well clear as the best of the rest & will win this one day, but he's a way to go yet.

One of th best things you can see in this country is the Premier League darts - start up in a few months for 12 weeks or so.

Watched the final a couple of years back between Barney and Taylor.

What's the difference between BDO and BDC?

Basically in the 90's the darts world was split in two, some top players formed the PDC (I think it must have been for financial reasons) a lot of players switch from the BDO to the PDC nowadays as it's more lucrative.

There's now two different world titles although it seems all the best players like Taylor and Van Barneveld play on the PDC circuit, more often than not the best players from the BDO go over to the PDC this has happened a lot in recent years. Many winners of the BDO World title don't even bother to come back and defend their title.

Snooker players wanted to do something similar a while back.

Why has Martin Adams never joined the PDC?

I don't see the fuss with Darts, worse than watching Golf IMO.

This event seems to of generated a lot of interest though, my brother and mate, who have never show any interest before are suddenly gripped. :unsure:

I knew Martin Adams years ago. He never fancied the PDO because he felt that the level was beyond him to go past the Quarters.

Where as this Tournament he has been World Champion, and is looked at as pretty much the favourite most years. He enjoys the fame, if he switched he wouldn't have that.

As I'm sure we all know now, Hankey won 7-6. Gripping stuff, despite (because?) being pretty low-quality. Far too many missed doubles and 18+ dart legs.
