I hope we will beat them at OT and help them to loose their grip on the epl crown.

But, we can't deny Evra's comments that during the 1st half it was like a game between men and kids. The gap between both teams was huge.

But still, Evra is a muppet and it is something a clever player would not say. Very arrogant on his part. I hope that future events will make him swallow his words.

Gary the Gooner - May 6, 2009 07:39 AM (GMT)
You can see that United were superior by a frightening margin over the two legs, but to come out with a statement like that demonstrates a total lack of class and is hardly the words of a man.

I hate this to$$er! :fury:

He is spot on though we did play like babies and not men we got spanked at home badly.

Dr. Gaius Baltar - May 6, 2009 09:17 AM (GMT)
He speaks the truth.

I dont think you should be insulting him so greatly. Imagine having an opinion, a correct one at that, expressing it, and then called such names.

Lack of class? Indeed.

Mandela - May 6, 2009 09:19 AM (GMT)
Good on him.

It's about time we had a public dressing down.

fakeyank - May 6, 2009 09:39 AM (GMT)
I am beginning to like SAF more and more.. class manager- best in the world and one of the top 5 greats of ALL time!

Grebbo - May 6, 2009 10:01 AM (GMT)
These over-hyped wannabe's need to learn. They've been given a lesson.

Even Aaron Lennon spunked all over Evra this season and Lennon's shit. Why didn't Walcott pull his finger out?

They need to toughen up or feck off.

Ach - May 6, 2009 10:03 AM (GMT)
Cos Walcott was doubled up on whenever he got the ball.

Rooney was shite offensively in both legs but he did his job defensively

selassie - May 6, 2009 12:32 PM (GMT)
Unfortunately he's right but he lacks class saying it to the media.

To be honest he's right but the '11 men against 11 babies' comment shows a pretty evident lack of class in victory.

What's not to get? Was there any need to come out with the men vs babies comment? It's a sly dig at us for no reason after his team have just thrashed us.

we're all thinking it, he's just saying it.

biggest game that stadium has ever seen and the only people who gave a shit had to pay to be there.

its not the result, its the way they gave it away. unforgiveable

Elreactor - May 6, 2009 07:59 PM (GMT)
I hope he loses his legs in the final.

And ferguson loses his chewing gum.

And VDS his disgusting neck.

Frelling bastards.

He was talking specifically about age.

And yeh, there is a need. Honesty.

Xaviola - May 7, 2009 04:27 PM (GMT)
Just read it again and it still sounds like an insult. At best it was crudely put if he was referring to age.

Yeah he was being honest. So was Cesc when he had a pop at Mark Hughes' but that doesn't take away from the fact that he showed a lack class there. Likewise with Evra.

Don't really care what Evra said but I'd like to smack the muppet in the 'boat' too.

If by 'boat' you mean 'cock'.

And if by 'smack' you mean hit with a spiked mace...

Crudely put. Oh well excuse him for it being his second language.

Bottom line. He's 100% on the money and being so, from a United player, is annoying. Nothing else about being classless.

Man speaks truth. Oh no, how dare he.

we have a much younger squad...if he is referring to the superior amount of experience Utd have compared to us, he is not wrong!!

Mikael Silvestre has accused Patrice Evra of showing a lack of respect to Arsenal's stars when he labelled the Gunners 'babies'.

Evra described Manchester United's 3-1 UEFA Champions League win over Arsenal last week as 'men against babies', after Sir Alex Ferguson's side ended Arsene Wenger's European dream.

Former United star Silvestre is unhappy with Evra's disparaging comments and he has called on his team-mates to prove their critics wrong next season by winning some silverware.

"I think it is a lack of respect to players like Kolo Toure, Emmanuel Adebayor or Robin van Persie. They are not babies, they are over 25," Silvestre told L'Equipe.

"For sure, conceding a goal early in the game was a blow, but we have to remember that we were without William Gallas, Gael Clichy and Andrey Arshavin.

"It would have been a different story if they had been there. It is up to us to show next season that he [Evra] is wrong and that Arsenal can win silverware playing our football."

PATRICE EVRA has accused Cesc Fabregas and his Arsenal team-mates of trying to kick him out of the Champions League final.

The Manchester United defender believes he was singled out during last week’s goalless draw between the two sides at Old Trafford.

After United’s Champions League semi-final stroll against the Gunners, Evra claimed it had been “11 men against 11 babies.”

In last Saturday’s Premier League game, in which United clinched their third successive title, Arsenal skipper Fabregas and Samir Nasri were booked for challenges on Evra.

And Robin van Persie – who had already been yellow-carded – was warned by referee Mike Dean after clattering into the French star.

Evra, who is preparing for Wednesday night’s glamour clash with Barcelona in Rome, said: “The bad challenge was from Fabregas when he caught my knee.

“I was very angry. I don’t know why the Arsenal players did that.

“Okay I said some things they didn’t appreciate after the Champions League game at the Emirates.

“But when some players speak about us and say we are not a good team I try to show that we are out on the pitch. It’s about scoring goals or helping to win the game – it’s not to kick someone back. It’s not the way to play football.

“I don’t know why some of the Arsenal players did that. You might miss the Champions League final because of one stupid tackle.”

Evra admitted that Arsenal’s tactics had wound him up and he was in danger of exploding only for referee Dean to come to the rescue.

He added: “I want to say thanks to the referee as he came to me and said ‘Pat, I don’t know what’s going on but a lot of the Arsenal players are angry with you.

Evra wants to kill Fabregas:

QUOTE
Patrice Evra has launched a stunning attack on Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas and threatened him with retaliation.

Manchester United left back Evra was the target of several tackles from The Gunners during the goalless draw at Old Trafford that saw his side claim the Premier League title, after he compared the young London side to 'children'.

Arsenal captain Fabregas was amongst the tacklers, and Evra has verbally hit back at the midfielder.

The defender does not understand why Fabregas kicked him a few days before the Champions League final, and he has expressed his surprise, as he is not used to seeing such aggression when he is playing against Arsene Wenger's men.

“He kicks me despite the fact that we are due to play the Champions League final on May 27,” Evra said on Tf1.

“If we were to meet off the pitch, I know that I could go wild.

“This aggressive football does not resemble Arsenal's style.”

Erm...do we have our own version of Carragher's mates? Song's henchmen?

Patrice Evra is sticking to his guns and has once again confirmed that he wants personal revenge against Cesc Fabregas.

Following some controversial comments on Monday, Manchester United left back Evra has continued his attack on Arsenal skipper Fabregas after the Spanish was booked for an unnecessary and nasty tackle at Old Trafford.

Evra believes that the midfielder fouled him on purpose and he wants revenge.

And the Frenchman, who has insisted that football is not boxing, has challenged Fabregas to a duel, this time off the pitch.

“I was very disappointed,” Evra told L’Equipe. “If you fancy giving knocks, then you do boxing, not football.

“But we will meet each other off the pitch. And this time there won’t be any referee to give a red card.”
