for the own goal rule, why not have it so the person that has that player who scored the og, concedes a goal in that game.

So, imagine its rk v flavs. Alonso scores and own goal (my player) and you go one nil up.

Otherwise, if its 0-0 then my team would 'get away' with it.

i thought the way it was suggested i would win that game 0--1 ?

ah, maybe i misread it then. I thought it said a goal would be deducted from the offending team, not added to the opponent. my mistake then.

good man, i just think that it keeps the realism a bit more, rather than minus games then it detracts from how good the game has been so far.

you didnt get relegated, the leagues are on an even keel.

It says in the rules that its all random and that league one and two are together rather than 1 being better and so on

But no one really watches the second league - why was there teams 'relegated' etc if it all random? so its league two and thats it?

well part of the reason for swapping it around was so that league 2 became more prevalent as you are right, people focused on league 1. However that might be because all the regular posters were in there. Which is what i am trying to fix.

As i say its random anyway, lots of the teams from L1 are now in L2. LMG, Gary, me, you, TEG, FITCIP and so on.

And likewise some of the newcomers are in league 1.

Hopefully people will take interest in league 1 seeing as the majority of the regulars are in league 2.

And seeing as im the champion of league 1, i want to defend my title

rigth then i hacve done the league one thread, i have also posted the first pass at the player sheets in the threads as well, i wont post the updated version until the transfer window opens though as i will be going round in circles.

On the transfer window....the reason it worked well last year was that we started on july the 1st with the actual window, everyone bids and gets a few players and then Mancity/Chelsea go insane and buy messi/kaka*Flava Flav etc so people who missed out in the first couple of rounds end up with great players.

We could hang back a couple of weeks until the 13th to start the window and hopefully the madness will be well underway giving everyone a fair crack at the players?

I just think its a little unfair the keen players get in early but potenitally miss out on the later buys? Although i suppose they get the stalwarts like Gerrard and Lampard.
