Ach - June 17, 2009 05:57 PM (GMT)
Benched for poor form in the Emirates Cup

Keith - June 17, 2009 06:27 PM (GMT)
The form we are in we've got no chance of a win at Goodison, just look at the table, 0 wins, 0 draws and we've not even scored a goal. The lads aren't fit to wear the shirt.

Ach - June 17, 2009 06:31 PM (GMT)
I looked at the table.

We are top

davegordo - June 18, 2009 06:13 PM (GMT)
Is Gallas going to be fit for the start of pre-season training?

McNamara That Ghost... - July 9, 2009 05:38 PM (GMT)
Great.

Marc Overmars - July 9, 2009 05:41 PM (GMT)

Should be thrilling.

Whatever - July 10, 2009 05:27 AM (GMT)
I like Everton, but last season they had a rough start to the season, but I think we are in for a tough match.

Everybody who thinks Liverpool are shite, but Everton are cool people, make some NOISE :whacky: :jumpnana:

Dog Toffee - July 10, 2009 02:02 PM (GMT)
When did we sign Melo?

Bunk Moreland - July 10, 2009 04:29 PM (GMT)
It's a predicted team.

Go away.

Bunk Moreland - July 10, 2009 05:43 PM (GMT)

Where's My Username Gone? - July 12, 2009 09:51 PM (GMT)
*snf*

You'll have to try harder than that :(

:crying:

fakeyank - July 13, 2009 06:46 AM (GMT)
We'll do em 2-0

bergstar - July 18, 2009 06:10 AM (GMT)
Probably as tough a start as you could get. Moyes and the crowd will have them fired up for the first home game of the season.

Marc Overmars - July 18, 2009 08:23 AM (GMT)
Goodison Park is never an easy place to go, but if we're serious about challenging this year we need to hit the ground running coz our start is the toughest in recent memory.

Gael Clichy is currently nursing a back problem that could potentially keep the player out of the Arsenal’s Premier League opener against Everton.

The 25-year-old Frenchman has not featured in any of the pre-season matches so far, and his appearance in the Emirates Cup appears to be in doubt.

According to a report in The Mirror, if the left-back does not get a run out during the friendly tournament that takes place in north London, Arsene Wenger will not risk him against the Toffees at Goodison Park.

Arsenal play Atletico Madrid tomorrow, followed by a game against Scottish heavyweights Rangers on Sunday in the four-team tournament staged at Ashburton Grove.

Jens' Face - July 31, 2009 01:33 PM (GMT)
gibbs :good:

and no Eduardo and maybe no Arshavin?

Rosicky RVP Bendtner
Cesc Denilson Di...Rossiaby
Gibbs Gallas Vermin Sagna

not my choice, but my prediction

Arshavinslittlelegs - August 3, 2009 03:42 PM (GMT)
Fellaini will be out with long term sickness. Lescott will perhaps have gone to city. We'll face a weakened Everton side.

Marc Overmars - August 3, 2009 03:45 PM (GMT)
Good news.

McNamara That Ghost... - August 3, 2009 03:47 PM (GMT)

Is Jagielka still out ?
If so we could face Senderos / Yobo combo at the back. Can't help feeling if Senderos does go there, he'll develop into the top class CB many of us believe he is.

Oh well.

I doubt Jagielka will play and the Senderos move could be delayed until after we play them.

you guys know that Eduardo's got a WC qualifier 3 days before this game? And Arshavin might be called up for a friendly.

Song/Denilson (no idea whom AW prefers; I prefer Song)
Cesc Rosicky
Theo RVP Bendy

Not a great front 3 to start the season against tough competition, but it may be our only option.

If the Rosicky injury rumor is true, I guess this will be the opening lineup

Aluminum
Sagna Gallas Vermin Clichy
Song
Cesc Denilson
Theo RVP Bendy

Wilshere's better in an attacking role than the midfield 3, though I suppose he could play ahead of Denilson. Or Merida there. Wouldn't really want to see either against Everton on the 1st game of the season.
