Title: Barnet v Arsenal
Description: 18 July, 15:00

JackTheLad19 - July 11, 2009 12:57 PM (GMT)
First game of pre-season.

QUOTE
Cesc Fabregas, Theo Walcott, Kieran Gibbs, Henri Lansbury, Gavin Hoyte, Rhys Murphy and Fran Mérida will all miss out because of their various international commitments over the course of the summer, whilst the players who returned to training late because of World Cup qualifiers; including Emmanuel Adebayor, Emmanuel Eboue, Kolo Toure, Alex Song and Robin van Persie will also be absent.

Very young team expected then. Anyone going?

Jens' Face - July 12, 2009 02:33 AM (GMT)
:woohoo:

can't wait

The Emirates Gallastico - July 12, 2009 08:46 AM (GMT)
We walloped them 10-0 a few years ago, think Jeffers got a hattrick.

Hope it's a similar result.

Dog Toffee - July 12, 2009 02:00 PM (GMT)
But without Jeffers we stand no chance.

tigerthesmurf85 - July 12, 2009 07:07 PM (GMT)
Will it be on ATVO?

KaiserKolo - July 12, 2009 07:20 PM (GMT)
Yeah.

The Emirates Gallastico - July 12, 2009 07:22 PM (GMT)
Oh.

adamafc - July 14, 2009 08:01 AM (GMT)
Might take my lil bro's to this.

I'm guessing it will be quite a mixed squad then or will it be mainly reserves?

On Friday afternoon, Arsenal.com hope to announce the squad for the opening friendly at Barnet the following day.

This game is the traditional curtain-raiser to the Club’s pre-season campaign and extends the close working relationship with the League Two side, who will once again play host to Arsenal Reserves throughout the coming season.

No-one’s participation is guaranteed. However it is expected that the visiting squad will consist of younger players and some the senior stars who returned on July 7.

This group included: Almunia, Rosicky, Eduardo, Clichy, Mannone, Gallas, Djourou, Wilshere, Nasri, Denilson, Silvestre, Arshavin, Traore, Senderos and Vermaelen.

Rosicky is nearly back!!!

:faint:

If not much transfer activity has started by saturday, hopefully things will be made clearer by comments from Mr Wenger, he allways speaks to the press after this match.

"Are you in the market for a new striker"?

"Yes we are looking at the moment but nothing has come up yet, we are waiting to see if Kroneke finds anything at the back of his sofa"
"If not we will be in for Darren Bent"

McNamara That Ghost... - July 17, 2009 10:48 AM (GMT)

Not exactly the most exciting or value-for-money <_< but :woohoo: anyway.

Ach - July 17, 2009 03:25 PM (GMT)
Worth the entrance fee alone to see Rosicky back

It'll be neat to see Vermin, as well, and if Arshavin plays, well that's always fun.

but the real attraction is Coquelin in the center of midfield

Jack Bauer - July 17, 2009 07:55 PM (GMT)
What time is this on and will there be streams for this?

There were some Justin.tv ones last year but that was before the PL sort of destroyed them.

It's been too long.

Can someone who's got AVTO be kind enough to give us some news on tommorow's runout after it happens.

And CK has promised to collect all such posts and write a summary afterwards.
