Abou Diaby’s luck appears to have deserted him once again after news broke from Raymond Domenech’s France camp that the Arsenal midfielder had injured goalkeeper Hugo Lloris in a training ground collision leaving the stopper a doubt for Wedensday’s World Cup qualification clash with Romania. Having already played a part in the breaking of compatriot and Gunner teammate Samir Nasri’s leg in pre-season and having scored an horrendous own-goal at Old Trafford last weekend, the 23-year-old Parisian isn’t having the best time of things at the moment.
Radio station RMC reports that the clash forced Lloris to retire from training and nurse his wound with an ice pack. The Olympique Lyonnais goalkeeper did not take part in the afternoon jogging session, retiring directly indoors.
