Title: Adebayor Hit with 2 Charges by FA
Description: How long should he get?

Nasri Scoreng - September 15, 2009 12:57 PM (GMT)
My tuppence worth?

The Stamping should be 3 games and the goading should be three - served consecutively.

You?

here we go again.

Nayan - September 15, 2009 12:58 PM (GMT)
reckon they will offer 6 - he will appeal and it will end up 10

PGFC - September 15, 2009 01:00 PM (GMT)
10 years :good:

That would be interesting - can't remember too many appeals resulting in increases?

Mind you, I can see that given Scudamore's comments, if Citeh have any sense they will just suck up whatever they are dished out.

Can't see the other Citeh players taking too kindly to the player getting a lengthy ban for himself, though.

Letters (TPFKA WWTL@WHL) - September 15, 2009 01:03 PM (GMT)
I'll move this to the Premiership section on the basis that we have a billion Ade threads and this really isn't about Arsenal.

make him wash 10 elephants :getcoat:

seriously though, 2 match ban for stamp. Charge week salary for inciting crowd violence.

they normally offer a certain amount and if you lose the appeal its worse isnt it?

Marc Overmars - September 15, 2009 01:06 PM (GMT)
3 games for the stamp is a given.

Not sure about the goading, I'd like to see something done though because if a player were to celebrate like that every week Football would be plunged into disgrace and not just from the players antics, but the fans too.

I think they are gearing up for it though - with Scudamore's comments about it hurting the football 'brand'.

(Though if in the long term its more damaging than turning the EPL into a billionaires' cock-fest is open to debate).

Tell him that from now on his salary will be paid in glass beads.

Rkane - September 15, 2009 01:10 PM (GMT)
I'm gutted

(oh and 6 games at least)

Michael Westen - September 15, 2009 01:11 PM (GMT)
3 games for the stamp.

1 game or a fine for the celebration. Actually, yeh, just a fine. 4 games would be too harsh.

Grebbo - September 15, 2009 01:20 PM (GMT)
88 games

The fines are always pathetic though. There's really no point to them.

It has happened a few years ago if I remember correctly a Boro player was sent off for slapping and appeald got an extra game suspension for 'bringing the game into disrepute'. Surely if the bastard appealed he would be 'bringing the game into disrepute'.

But the punishment should be castration, tbf :good:

Yep that was Aliadiere I think?

I reckon it will be two, reduced to one... Like I said in the Eduardo thread, governing bodies at all levels just don't know how to govern.

So as a mildly interested neutral Rors.......what should Ade get in your view?

Babel is Boss - September 15, 2009 04:42 PM (GMT)
Automatic 3 match ban for the stamp, and a fine of around £5-10k for the celebration.

A stamp itself is violent conduct of course as BiB brings up, as it says in the laws of the game - used to be an automatic three games I think. As it went unpunished at the time, it should be that again.

Can't think off hand of any bans for 'celebrating' (other than suspensions from second yellows of course). Of course, it was more than just that. A pre-meditated attempt that he was always going to implement if he got the chance..where have I heard that before? There are grey areas, but applying common sense rather than letter of the law, worthy of another three.

So that makes six, but that just won't happen.

Jack Will Score - September 15, 2009 04:55 PM (GMT)
9 months + a big fine should do it :coffee:

would settle for six games and a transfer ban for citeh though.

JackTheLad19 - September 15, 2009 05:12 PM (GMT)
3 games for the stamp, not too bothered about the celebration. One extra's probably about right.

north bank nutter - September 15, 2009 07:00 PM (GMT)
30 lashes or if thats not possible life without parole.

dazthegooner - September 15, 2009 07:36 PM (GMT)
Will probably be a 3 game ban for each offence also he was asked before the game to behave himself so obviously he did take any notice and this will go against him.

Jack Bauer - September 15, 2009 11:32 PM (GMT)
I'm hoping that the ban doesn't get enforced till after Man City play Man Utd at the weekend.

I know I said I wouldn’t mention the African Anti-Christ again, but I think he will now become the figure of hate wherever he plays, I think the good fans the country over will have been suitably disgusted with his behaviour to give him the shit ride he deserves throughout his stay in the Premiership.

He said he hopes that God will touch his shoulder and help him score goals, what makes him think God would like a lying, stamping, greedy cheat? I hope he gets sent to the deepest tarpit in hell and forced to have daily encounters with a Goat wielding a pineapple for a dick for all eternity, that’s the God I know, a vengeful and just one, watch out Eboue, diving and feigning injury is cheating too.

So now the dust is beginning to settle and we’ve done the Sunday and Monday papers what next? First of all, I don’t want to discuss that filthy cockroach who’s name I won’t say again, I hope he slides back up the unwashed rectum of whoever abused him in Togo with the same speed and gusto as he slid toward our fans on Saturday, I wish him nothing but bad luck throughout his career and pray that all nuetral fans will dislike the piece of infected dog shit as much as I know we all do.

Before you smug northern monkeys start crowing in the stadium you never actually paid for, he did it to Togo, he did it to Monaco, he did it to us and he’ll do it to you, the difference is, we got £25 million of your grubby sand stained pound notes for the worthless sack of leeches shit, I hope someone sets his head on fire before they shove up your managers arse to put it out. Blistered, yes, both the head and the arse.

Okay so now what, what does the manager do next?....

:haha: :partytime: :partytime: This guys hilarious. He does have a point in the 2nd paragrah.
