After spending a year in Vietnam, 22-year-old American forward Lee Nguyen is heading to England to train with EPL club Arsenal.

"I'm just going over there to train with Arsenal right now for two or three weeks and then maybe going elsewhere after that to another club,” said Nguyen to Yanks Abroad.

Last season Nguyen played for Hoang Anh Gia Lai and tallied nine goals in 24 appearances. He’s also spent time with PSV Eindhoven and Danish club Randers.

"First I'm going to see how I do these upcoming weeks over in London and go from there," he concluded.

A graduate of Indiana University, Nguyen will know in the coming weeks if he will able to stick with the Gunners.

I remember reading a scouting report about this guy in Champions magazine. Ronald Koeman ruins another youngster's career tbh.

Sounds pretty shit if he's club hopping at 22.

Whatever - September 17, 2009 12:03 PM (GMT)

USA striker Lee Nguyen is loving his training stint at Arsenal.

Nguyen has been invited to Arsenal by manager Arsene Wenger after impressing for satellite club, HAGL, in Vietnam.

On Twitter, Nguyen has confirmed he's training with the first team under the guidance of Wenger.

"Best training I've ever had and so intense," said Nguyen. "And I'm doing well. I'm only going to get better training here."

He has Twitter... JF you can talk to him if you wish to. ... he seems to reply to most people.

I've been reading his Wiki page and Gus Hiddink was the guy who intially spotted his talents.

Hiddink's usually right with these things so we could potentially have a really good player on our hands.
