Arsenal have joined the race for Lazio goalkeeper Fernando Muslera as Premier League clubs line up for a slice of bidding cake.

According to Tuttomercatoweb.com, the Gunners face a three-way fight with Manchester City, and Manchester United for the highly-rated Uruguayan shot-stopper.

The report suggests Arsenal's goalkeeper drive has ended on Muslera's doorstep, and he would be in pole position for being the first choice at the Emirates.

However, Arsene Wenger faces competition from two of his biggest Premier League rivals. Voices in Italy claim both the Manchester-based sides are eyeing the 23-year-old.

Although none of the English clubs have confirmed interest in Muslera, voices around Formello claim Lazio chief Claudio Lotito is preparing a new mega deal for his man where a major buy-out clause will be inserted to fend-off interested parties when they come forward.

Sounds like a good keeper from what I've heard. Not sure he'd want to warm the bench at Citeh - unless he's a money-whore. manure would be more interesting for him - as Ben Foster's probably not good enough to step up. Muslera would have to feel confident of ousting Almunia?
