Marc Overmars - September 24, 2009 05:39 PM (GMT)
We've got the toughest game out of our rivals.

Stoke could put up a good fight against the Mancs though.

Ach - September 24, 2009 05:40 PM (GMT)
Browns last game in charge?

Surely they wont win at Anfield

Bunk Moreland - September 24, 2009 06:42 PM (GMT)
I hope not.

I want him to be Hell's manager when they come down to the Emirates.

Ach - September 24, 2009 07:09 PM (GMT)
Pompey to keep their 100% record going?

Syn - September 24, 2009 07:10 PM (GMT)
Pretty shit weekend of football on paper.

Wins for all the big 4. And Arsenal to get something at Craven Cottage. :good:

Ach - September 24, 2009 07:11 PM (GMT)
Lawro says Stoke will get something

Marc Overmars - September 24, 2009 07:12 PM (GMT)
Lawrence says a lot of things.

Ach - September 25, 2009 07:43 AM (GMT)

McNamara That Ghost... - September 25, 2009 08:51 AM (GMT)

Bunk Moreland - September 25, 2009 10:52 AM (GMT)
The PL without the top/big 4 would be utter dross.

Dan Brown's new book explains Frank Lampard and Kaka's celebration:

QUOTE
“This pointing-hand gesture - with its index finger and thumb extended upward - is a well-known symbol of the Ancient Mysteries, and it appears all over the world in ancient art. This same gesture appears in three of Leonardo da Vinci’s most famous encoded masterpieces - The Last Supper, Adoration of the Magi, and Saint John the Baptist. It’s a symbol of man’s mystical connection to God.”

“I’ve never seen it before,” Sato said. Then watch ESPN, Langdon thought, always amused to see professional athletes point skyward in gratitude to God after a touchdown or home run. He wondered how many knew they were continuing a pre-Christian mystical tradition of acknowledging the mystical power above, which, for one brief moment, had transformed them into a God capable of miraculous feats.”

Fergie to stick with Foster in goal.

I thought he wanted to continue to win trophies. Ah well.

In fairness, given the matches available on Sky this weekend I don't think they deserve to have any "sexy image shit".

ESPN, well that's different I guess.

How are we to know which games are on without the 'sexy image shit'

McNamara That Ghost... - September 25, 2009 06:40 PM (GMT)
Well there are three ways.

The first is work it out on the times of the matches.

Secondly is to look at a tv guide.

Three, is to flick around the channels when it's on.

:coffee:

Don't worry though, to solve this debacle of a situation next week I will do my best to do the weekend threads. Actually best make it after the international break, I'll probably be hammered most of next week.

JackTheLad19 - September 25, 2009 06:41 PM (GMT)
International break I hear you say? Another one?

FFS

My weekend threads idea back in 2006 has really taken off.

Aye, after our Blackeye game next Sunday.

It is the last full international break though of the season - the rest will just be friendlies wedged in to two club weekend fixtures.

Rors - September 26, 2009 10:19 AM (GMT)
Looking forward to the images for the International threads.. Yep, I want the image for every tv station in the world showing a WC Qualifier or friendly... :threaten: :D

Keown talks to Clichy on Football Focus soon

McNamara That Ghost... - September 26, 2009 12:02 PM (GMT)
A Pienaar hattrick would be good.

Gubby-Allen - September 26, 2009 12:13 PM (GMT)
Sounds like free money this:

3/1 just for Man Utd, Chelsea, Tottenham, Man City & Liverpool to win.

11/2 if you add Villa or Draw & Arsenal or Draw

25/1 if you add Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, Rangers, Celtic and Inter or Draw for a 13 fold.

Piss easy matches - who will not win out of that lot? Or lose (for the 3 with draws included) - £25 for a pound.

Tad more if you throw in AC Milan home to Bologna I think.

McNamara That Ghost... - September 26, 2009 12:21 PM (GMT)
Good save from Howard there.

McNamara That Ghost... - September 26, 2009 12:24 PM (GMT)
Fellaini should have scored, pretty crap header in all honesty.

The Wengerbabies - September 26, 2009 12:29 PM (GMT)

JackTheLad19 - September 26, 2009 12:31 PM (GMT)
