Title: Best striker on form

JackTheLad19 - September 26, 2009 09:25 PM (GMT)
Seen during the opening weeks probably three in particular at their best at different times in the PL. Drogba, Torres and Rooney.

All fantastic but very hard to say who shades in when all are on their game. Drogba's unplayable when he's bothered, physically imposing and scores regularly. Torres more elegant and has a ridiculous scoring record and Rooney with the work rate and diving to go with his efficiency in front of goal.

I'd go with Drogba when he's arsed personally but surprisingly difficult. Feel free to suggest others if you rate Kevin Davies higher or something

Adebayor :good:

Marc Overmars - September 26, 2009 09:27 PM (GMT)
Drogba probably.

Syn - September 26, 2009 09:28 PM (GMT)
Adebayor.

Milla - September 26, 2009 09:29 PM (GMT)
Drogba... but really how is he?? must be at least 38.. :coffee:

hes 31 according to wiki. 32 in march. he is a battering ram of a player so he does not need to worry about his age. i don't think rooney deserves to be mentioned in the same breath. torres is very good when fit. faster than drogba but not as strong. scores more goals and is still learning. villa and eto are good too.

The Wengerbabies - September 26, 2009 10:11 PM (GMT)
Adebayor

Jack Bauer - September 26, 2009 11:00 PM (GMT)
Torres.

The Emirates Gallastico - September 27, 2009 02:39 AM (GMT)
Torres is the best and least cuntish world class centre forward in the league, and probably the world.

Arshavinslittlelegs - September 27, 2009 03:39 AM (GMT)
Torres is on one level. Then theres Eto, Ibra, Drogba, Villa, Benzema just below. Shrek shouldn't even be mentioned when talking about Torres.

Jack Will Score - September 27, 2009 06:26 AM (GMT)
torres :good:

drogba has only just reached 100 goals for chelski, he's been there for five years or so. good player but not as good.

fakeyank - September 27, 2009 07:32 AM (GMT)
Thierry Henry

Jack Will Score - September 27, 2009 07:58 AM (GMT)
I presume the thread is about those currently playing in the prem but I'd agree with Henry as the all time best

Whatever - September 27, 2009 08:11 AM (GMT)
How we missed out on Torres is beyond me..the guy is fucking sex

he cost more than whatever wenger could find down the back of the sofa and was over 12?

Ach - September 27, 2009 08:41 AM (GMT)
Villa is better than Torres

Rors - September 27, 2009 08:44 AM (GMT)
There are no 'strikers' anymore. Many a top forward though, and they've all been mentioned here.

:rafafanatic:

wasn't it up to £26m depending on goals/appearances/trophies/liverpool not going bankrupt?

Torres or Adebayor.

At the same price?

Torres.

At the prices Liverpool and Arsenal actually got them for? Adebayor.

For country? Ade.

Ade wins 2-1.

Torres missed a last min tap in to equalise

Jack Will Score - September 28, 2009 05:52 PM (GMT)
torres hasn't had a single moment of controversy that I can remember, same can't be said of ade whilst we was with us or since.

would take torres any day of the week.

Babel is Boss - September 28, 2009 05:54 PM (GMT)
When he's not a moaning little arse then it's easily Torres.

I'll take it this is just the Premiership though.

:haha:

Whats up dipshit?

RVP Left Foot - September 29, 2009 12:40 PM (GMT)
Hate to say it in fact it kills me to say it but the spuds have a very impressive
forward line

Marc Overmars - September 29, 2009 12:56 PM (GMT)
They've had a very good attack for a few years now, 4 strikers of similar quality.

Their problems like ours lie elsewhere in the team.

Daniel LaRusso - September 29, 2009 01:14 PM (GMT)
gerd muller.
