UPDATE: Talk on the forums suggest that news is about to break about corruption involving the Amdy Faye transfer. Is ‘Arry about to lose his job and his freedom?

Ah it's always funny to see turmoil is never far away from Tottenham. Even if it is totally fabricated.

Hang on 'ang on 'ang on... is this all some big Friday afternoon subterfuge to wind some gooners up? Cos if so, why bother... they're not worth the cyber-ink!

If this is self-inflicted in any way... then shame on whoever is responsible... if there's a shred of truth in it, then no wonder the Goons are starting to laugh and point... but it's nothing to what's just around the corner... all Gooners know what's coming!

We don't have to worry about making our near neighbours nervous... cos the fact is that every single gooner STILL wakes up in a cold sweat every now and then, KNOWING that the truth (which people out there know, allegedly) about LASAGNE-gate is still waiting to surface, is what provokes such joyous reacions to ANY hint of Tottenham turmoil... believe me, when the truth outs (allegedly)... not only the perpetrators, but their entire snivelling corrupt (possibly) little club will be sunk without trace... think Luton/Southampton/Leeds points deductions/relegations all rolled into one! (allegedly!)

All it needs, is one such e-mail to one such broadsheet editor... and the whole can of worms will be released... THEN WE'LL SEE WHO'S LAUGHING SMILEYS!

Reckon it's bullshit.

Not cartelesque. It is simple maths and stats. The bookies may not think it that likely that Redknapp will go, but if loads of people bet on it at 50-1 then their exposure to risk gets a bit high so they have to drop the odds. Of course, as a result, people think they are doing that because they know something so 'it must be true' and the whole thing spirals to a ludicrous level.

And everyone knows it has to be Paul Hart. One more statement of support from the board and he is a gonner.

If he is a goner at odds to low to make any profit what's more logical than some scam where Redknapps odds are slashed, therefore Brown & Harts' go out a bit, put 10 grand each on the pair you'll more than double your money.

Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has been embroiled in a fresh taxation scandal, with reports indicating that he is to be questioned by police and Inland Revenue over the next few days.

Redknapp was interrogated by police in November 2007 as part of a corruption inquiry related to a number of transfers during his time at Portsmouth, alongside chief executive Peter Storrie and former chairman Milan Mandaric.

On Friday, bookmakers started receiving large bets on Redknapp being the next Premier League manager to leave his job, and were forced to slash his odds from as high as 66/1 to 2/1, making him the 'favourite' ahead of both Phil Brown and Paul Hart.

The odds were slashed for no apparent reason, and Redknapp himself stated publicly that he had no idea where the speculation had come from and that he was committed to Spurs.

The reason for those rumours is now apparent.

Redknapp insisted that all transfer activities conducted while at Pompey were aboveboard, and denies any wrongdoing.

"This is about a discrepancy of around £10,000 in income tax," he told The Sun.

"I've paid £10 million in income tax in the past 10 years and this is what it's come down to.

"It's in dispute whether the money is owed anyway and I've been totally up front with everyone about this. I'm sick of it."

Portsmouth chief Storrie, himself under investigation, has come out in support of Redknapp.

"We have done nothing but help what was a police inquiry. Now it seems to have moved to the Revenue," he told Sky Sports News.

"It's been two years of our life, it's been two years this has gone on and we just want it to be brought to a conclusion and we just want to completely clear our names once and for all.

"It's got to as far as we are concerned there is nothing that we can be held responsible for, so therefore it has to be brought to an end. It just can't ruin peoples lives for much longer."

There are further reports in The Daily Mail indicating that Redknapp is in fact to be questioned this week by HMRC over his offshore bank accounts.
