| It is not often that a newly promoted club have the best defensive record to their name after seven rounds of football; however this is the case for Bari at present, as they have conceded just four times thus far. Having been defeated just once in this time, the Pugliese have made a wonderful start on their return to the topflight, and they mainly have the likes of Andrea Ranocchia and Leonardo Bonucci to thank for this at the back, as the central defensive pair have been simply brilliant to this point. According to the latest reports from TMW though, their form has been so good that they have attracted the interest of Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal in England. The sporting director of the club confirmed these rumours to the Inter Channel, suggesting that members of the Premier League side were in attendance at their match against Milan at the San Siro stadium a couple of weeks ago. “When we played against Milan, there were a couple of emissaries from Arsenal, who came to take a look at our central defenders, Bonucci and Ranocchia. “I guess they did not waste their trip, as the two boys are fine players.” |
