I hate Koeman. Always stifles us.

I'm pretty sure we've drawn most games against his sides (won one (vs. Ajax I think), and lost that one vs. PSV).

Frustrating night is likely, and the confidence from the derby win will turn into complacency.

Hope the players prove me wrong.

The key is to start with Nasri and Rosicky, if they are in first eleven, I dont see Koeman stopping us from taking 3 points.

Its a game AZ have to win.

You'd think they'd go for the win.

Cant see it though

Good point, hopefully they'll go for it, rather than trying to secure the europa league place

CK's Korma - November 1, 2009 12:22 PM (GMT)
I think they will set up to frustrate us, could be another Olympiakos type match. Might have to be patient.

I'm going to this, first home game I'm going to since the Cardiff replay. :faint:

Arshavinslittlelegs - November 1, 2009 12:35 PM (GMT)
I really want us to tear them a new one. Time for Wenger to break Koeman's curse.

Arshavinslittlelegs - November 2, 2009 06:09 PM (GMT)
Their top scorer is out for this game.

Ach - November 2, 2009 06:16 PM (GMT)

Ouch,

Ach - November 3, 2009 01:06 PM (GMT)
I misread that and thought he had a stress fracture in his cock.

Not as big a miss as it would have been 2 years ago.

Gibbs is coming on leaps and bounds and we have Traore as well.

McNamara That Ghost... - November 3, 2009 01:09 PM (GMT)
Well Gibbs will have a fair run in the team now, that's for certain.

Ach - November 3, 2009 01:10 PM (GMT)
Englands world cup left back :good:

Ach - November 3, 2009 01:58 PM (GMT)
Rosicky back in the squad

Rosicky back in.....I can see 10 goals from the next 2 games.

His combination with Cesc and Arshavin is incredible...oh and add RVP's goals to that.

Ach - November 3, 2009 04:17 PM (GMT)
He wont start

Syn - November 3, 2009 04:20 PM (GMT)
If he does, MacCKy will change your name to CK's Biriyani.

davegordo - November 3, 2009 05:22 PM (GMT)
Might see Eboue start again this week Sagna worked his arse off on saturday!

Eduardo should get a start and i think he'll score!

Arsenal host AZ Alkmaar in the Champions League on Wednesday evening, and will be looking to secure maximum points in order to cement their standing as Group H pace-setters; the Gunners have amassed seven points from the opening three games.

The north London outfit relinquished a one-goal lead when they visited the DSB Stadion recently, and creative forward Robin van Persie - responsible for eight goals and seven assists this season - believes Arsenal will not know what to expect from inconsistent AZ.

"It's going to be strange because they are unpredictable.

"They drew against an amateur side [recently] and lost at the weekend to Ajax.

"They had a good first half but not so good second half.

"It is hard to know what to expect from them," the Netherlands international stressed, adding: "If we win, we have ten points and have basically qualified."

Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby wants to see some solidity in his side's defensive ranks when the Gunners welcome AZ Alkmaar to the Emirates in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The Gunners looked to be cruising to a straightforward victory in Holland against AZ but conceded a late equaliser. Diaby does not want any repeats of that lapse.

"We have to be well organised and have a good position on the pitch," he told reporters at a press conference.

"The thing is we have to show it every time we play, that we are a great team and can achieve something at the end of the season.

"We learned a lot from the old experiences. Now we try to practice what we learned before and be better this season."

The versatile Frenchman also believes that Arsenal have enough quality to go far in the Champions League this season.

"It is always good to win every game and stay in first place," Diaby added, speaking to Sky Sports.

"We need to work on our defence and make sure we stay focused until the last minute.

"We are confident of qualifying for the knockout stages. There is nothing for us to worry about and we are a good team.

"We want to show that we can get through this competition."

Gubby-Allen - November 3, 2009 10:16 PM (GMT)
Not sure what to want from the other game.

Olympiakos win & we're through but the battle for top may go to the final game.

Liege win & we're still not through but hopefully 4 points clear.

Syn - November 3, 2009 10:20 PM (GMT)
I don't think it matters whether we qualify as winners or through second place. There will be some big teams finishing 2nd and I don't think you can say that finishing in either position will probably hand you an easier tie in the last 16.

So I'd rather Olympiakos win and we'll have a couple of no-pressure games.

Ach - November 3, 2009 10:23 PM (GMT)
As long as we win

Syn - November 3, 2009 10:30 PM (GMT)
:good:

Need to play the best available XI.

Well, we don't, but racking up 5+ is on the cards if all the big guns turn up.

Bunk Moreland - November 3, 2009 11:28 PM (GMT)
If we score the first 2 goals, then we'll kill them.

Whatever - November 4, 2009 11:10 AM (GMT)
this is a must win..rest arshavin, play the rest of the lads

We will at a bare minimum remain six points ahead of Standard Liege if we get a win, that basically seals us through.

Gunna have us some sweet bum rape.

Der_Kaiser - November 4, 2009 01:23 PM (GMT)
What a lovely sentiment.
