Title: Valon Behrami

the rumour mill says that Wenger is also keeping tabs on another West Ham defender Valon Behrami as a replacement for Bacary Sagna, if the right back moves on to Real Madrid next summer.
It seems the ex-Lazio defender is also wanted by Juventus and Roma after his brilliant performances for the Hammers, but his agent, lessandro Beltrami said: “It is possible for him to move after the World Cup next year but not before then.
“He doesn’t want anything to affect his place in the Switzerland squad.”
This is not the first time this week that Arsenal have been linked with a right back, so is it possible that Wenger is seriously considering letting Sagna leave next summer?

Yeah me neither thought he was very average.
Moreover Sagna to Real Madrid  please the guy's form has gone walkabout since his 1st season...can't see that happening, though Real do have a tendency to sign defenders who aren't all that so you never know.
Not that he's a bad defender, just think after initially looking great in his 1st season he now is a decent player but nothing more and needs to step up to prove that 1st season wasn't a one off.

from what I can see, CLichy and Sagna have had precisely one decent season each in those berths, when both were flanking an industrious wingless midfield composed of CMs. When the midfield (esp DCM proteccting them) was weaker and they were more exposed they didnt look so hot and their crossing went from bad to worse.
Currently we are pretty run of the mill at FB.

you're right there! wasn't it Real that took Faubert from WHU only to send him back!
what went on there??
was it a loan or did it just fall through......or was it as I expect, he wasn't good enough!

Sagna to Madrid? Surely this is a windup
Sagna is on the fringe of losing his first - choice status..don't think he can touch an average but usally defensively sound arbeloa n this moment of time

I think Sagna spends more time on his hair than his game, though to be fair he did manage to put one decent cross in the other day, that's one more than usual so he's improving....
