Description: Saturday, 31 October, 12:45 KO
fakeyank - October 25, 2009 06:12 PM (GMT)
Lets hammer these scums... :fingers:
Der_Kaiser - October 25, 2009 06:20 PM (GMT)
Level on points as well (albeit with a game in hand).
Nasri could have a role to play provided he comes through in midweek injury-free.
Alias - October 25, 2009 06:22 PM (GMT)
Arsenal will go 3-0 up and concede 3 in injury time. Hey look what happened last year

If we have Rosicky and Nasri on instead of Diaby and Eboue WE WILL WIN comfortably.

| We wont win |
Kind of have a feeling we will draw this game and go on a run of drawing games!
Marc Overmars - October 25, 2009 07:08 PM (GMT)
Nothing like a NLD win to get the juices flowing again.
A must win.
Gubby-Allen - October 25, 2009 07:22 PM (GMT)
I cannot envisage a set of circumstances where we will win this match - even with No Lennon, Defoe, Woodgate etc
I can envisage a couple where we're 4-0 up going into the 97th minute but none where we actually pick up three points.
anfield 1989 - October 25, 2009 07:26 PM (GMT)
Is it confirmed that Lennon and Woodgate will be out?
If so that's a bonus.
We need Rosicky back. Where was he today ffs?
Bet you Bendtner plays up top instead of Eboue though.
Ach - October 26, 2009 02:11 AM (GMT)
Almunia
Sagna Gallas Vermaelen Clichy
Cesc Song Rosicky
RVP Eduardo Arshavin

Rosicky :haha:
KK :pal:
JackTheLad19 - October 26, 2009 07:50 AM (GMT)
I don't think we should tinker with RVP through the middle...he's on one of his hot streaks at the moment and looks to be proving a few people (me included) wrong about being able to play there.
If Rosicky's back then play him in the front three with RVP and Arshavin. Would mean Diaby playing CM but
anfield 1989 - October 26, 2009 12:59 PM (GMT)
Woodgate, Lennon reported very doubtful for this game. King too struggling.
Modric not back yet and Defoe suspended.
If we don't beat these lot I'll cry.
JackTheLad19 - October 26, 2009 01:25 PM (GMT)
I'd be happy if Lennon's out. Might mean Bentley having the game of his life against us or scoring a wondergoal in the only start he'll get this season mind you....the fucker
Lennon seems to make every LB look stupid before making himself look stupid with the final ball. Still he's a threat.
No Defoe means Tripod will play, who is also annoying.
anfield 1989 - October 26, 2009 01:46 PM (GMT)
Yeah Crouch long balls (like Cole yesterday) we always seem to struggle with. Bentley will be pumped up if he plays.
I think it'll be high scoring whatever the teams.
RVP Left Foot - October 26, 2009 02:17 PM (GMT)
Happy no Defoe for them, and hope no Woodgate/Lennon
however Crouch is a big worry for us and will cause us problems no end
Whatever - October 26, 2009 03:25 PM (GMT)
We're lucky if they have to play without Defoe, Lennon, Modric and Woodpecker
We shouldn't underestimate them. They have been a very good team for quite some time + they finally got a manager who knows what he is doing.
The physical presence of palacios and huddlestone is as threatening as is crouch upfront.
I would be delighted with a win, but our record against decent teams this season is mixed at best..it's really time to pick up some form against the big boys (and the top8 teams)
Ach - October 27, 2009 11:43 AM (GMT)
Hopefully il be able to watch this match on Sky
McNamara That Ghost... - October 27, 2009 11:44 AM (GMT)
Any win in this one is massively important, however it comes. After this we play Wolves away on the same weekend as Chelsea vs Man Utd.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Harry Redknapp has lavished praise on Arsenal and their manager Arsene Wenger, claiming that the Gunners play "superb football".
"They [Arsenal] play some superb football," Redknapp is quoted in The Daily Mail as saying.
"When they're playing well, their passing and movement is tremendous. I love to see teams playing that way. They're always good to watch.
He added: "I don't know Arsene [Wenger] that well but I've never had any problems with him.
"We shake hands after a game and I'll sometimes pop in his office for a quick glass of wine before we go home but I don't really mix with any other managers socially." |
Ach - October 27, 2009 10:17 PM (GMT)
Harry says both teams are in great form

from the sounds of it was likely after the game that he'd be out for 2 weeks, not too surprised.

Indeed.
He'd of torn Clichy a new one.
Ach - October 28, 2009 12:15 AM (GMT)
He'd have got past Clichy a few past times, yes but with no end product, it wouldnt be too costly
RVP Left Foot - October 28, 2009 10:17 AM (GMT)
So that bloody wanker Bentley plays against us, great !
He will be crossing high balls in the area to crouch no doubt, Clichy better be switched on fro this game
Whatever - October 28, 2009 10:40 AM (GMT)
in fairness bentley usually plays very good against us..so I hope clichy decides to show up at least once in a nld...him and sagna were utter pants last time, as was almunia
Whatever - October 28, 2009 09:56 PM (GMT)
nasri and eduardo in..eboue and diaby out
that's all
Ach - October 28, 2009 09:57 PM (GMT)
Almunia
Sagna Gallas Vermaelen Clichy
Cesc Song Nasri
Arshavin Eduardo RVP
Marc Overmars - October 28, 2009 09:59 PM (GMT)
Not sure Nasri and Eduardo will start seeing as they got 90mins tonight.
Plus it's an early KO too so not the normal recovery time.
RVP Left Foot - October 28, 2009 10:05 PM (GMT)
Doubt if we see Nasri or Eduardo start on Saturday, they looked tired
Ach - October 28, 2009 11:30 PM (GMT)
What about Rosicky?
He was 50:50 for the West Ham game.
6 days on, surely thats improved

Yep. No chance they will start. Rosicky I feel won't start unless his injury is confirmed to be better.
Otherwise it will be same line upas West Ham game.

This team should be our first XI... hopefully Rosicky wont fuck this thing up by being fit for another 2 matches and vanishing away. Not sure AW will play Eduardo through the middle and also cant see him not playing Diaby! Crap!
Milla - October 29, 2009 02:37 PM (GMT)
Wenger will not start Eduardo and Nasri, he will come ou with something like this "Nasri and Eduardo look very tired after the CC game, so I left them out" :coffee:
