Title: Match Reaction
Description: v Liverpool

Ach - October 28, 2009 09:39 PM (GMT)
Great result and very entertaining game.

Merida has arrived.

Ramsey for 80 mins was superb.

Silvestre and Senderos looked good.

Full backs were shaky.

Bendtner was awful but got the winner

Lancastrian Gunner - October 28, 2009 09:41 PM (GMT)
Good game, deserved the win :scarf:

Cheesy Bites - October 28, 2009 09:41 PM (GMT)
Don't forget Eastmond.

Welshgooner - October 28, 2009 09:42 PM (GMT)
Good win!

Merida, Rambo, Nasri and Clint Eastmond had great games!

Marc Overmars - October 28, 2009 09:42 PM (GMT)
Good win, we did well to see it out.

McNamara That Ghost... - October 28, 2009 09:42 PM (GMT)
10:55 the Carling Cup show on BBC1.

Great win. Well done to Merida and I thought Silvestre was pretty good too when it came to important interceptions.

Ach - October 28, 2009 09:43 PM (GMT)
Good shout.

Eastmond looked good as well.

Whatever - October 28, 2009 09:43 PM (GMT)
good game, even though I wasn't overly impressed by any of the youngster

great result though

TheJoyOfCesc - October 28, 2009 09:43 PM (GMT)

:goodpost:

Silvestre made some crucial tackles.

21_GOONER_SALUTE - October 28, 2009 09:45 PM (GMT)
Silvestre and Senderos parnership means better sleep and less tossing and turning.

Very professional display from the kids, no cruising.

Wonderful game- infact i'll watch it again this night.

:good: staring lineup AW

PGFC - October 28, 2009 09:45 PM (GMT)
:good: good result.

Ach - October 28, 2009 09:46 PM (GMT)
Ramsey MOTM

Whatever - October 28, 2009 09:46 PM (GMT)
time to ship out randall, gilbert though

McNamara That Ghost... - October 28, 2009 09:46 PM (GMT)
Ramsey got MotM. I thought he was good but would disagree with that award being bestowed on him.

TheJoyOfCesc - October 28, 2009 09:47 PM (GMT)
1st time I've heard Ramsey give an interview.

Darth Vela - October 28, 2009 09:47 PM (GMT)
We played some truly sublime stuff today, admittedly we were helped by a less than special Liverpool side but we were good. Nice to see Nasri and Ramsey doing well, surely there's no need to cotinue with Diaby now?

For what?

Gilbert had a much better 2nd half.

Randall again looked good when he came on

Bunk Moreland - October 28, 2009 09:48 PM (GMT)
Diaby out, Ramsey in.

Yeah Silvestre put in a good performance. Not as bad a player as some would claim.

Whatever - October 28, 2009 09:49 PM (GMT)
both for being average for their entire arsenal career..gibert was terrible in the first half

Marc Overmars - October 28, 2009 09:49 PM (GMT)
Not once did Gilbert go beyond the half way line, in this day and age that's got to be a minimum fullback requirment surely.

Championship player at best.

Good win, we did well to see it out.

People will definitely say this is hindsight, but I definitely didn't have the same feeling of trepidation when defending that slim lead compared to Sunday- and as far as I'm concerned Liverpool were far better than West Ham.

Honestly it pays to play players whose IQs are superior to hamsters.

McNamara That Ghost... - October 28, 2009 09:50 PM (GMT)

Also. Babel. Truly woeful.

Innit. I forgot he was playing! If he can`t perform against Arsenal kids.. Boy.. you`d worry for him.

Good win. Liverpool weren`t great. But very satisfying to beat a team like Liverpool. Overrall we were decent. Few times we were very ragged and needed to slow the game down, keep cool heads. Gave the ball away unecessarily a few times as well. But they`re young n will learn. Ramsey was star of the show.

We played better football but they dominated the game.

RVP Left Foot - October 28, 2009 10:01 PM (GMT)
Good win, and a good game to watch 3 good goals

Bendi wasn't all that, still don't think Randall will make it

Merdia is class, Ramsey and Gibbs to

All in all a good night

That, apart from it being bollocks, would just make the win much, much sweeter :good:

Globalgunner - October 28, 2009 10:03 PM (GMT)
Nasri is a better dribbler than Hleb with much more else up his locker. Just as I was about to conjure up an ancient curse on Bendtner...He scored. I`m in,luv again. Still has a poor 1st touch though......Sorry but Chelsea still look odds on to win this tin cup

If we meet them or Man City we'll need a stronger team than tonight IMO.

Championship player at best.

But he didn't need to- this is where have the IQ of an average male adult helps.

The players in front of him (merida, Bendtner) played deep through out the whole game and combined well together- infact despite him not coming out of the half, the right hand side was our most effective flank for attack in the first half, and also the most stably defended.

But I must admit despite him having a great game and brain, I dont think he can ever make it as a defensive player in the EPL as his size means he really can't win 60% of the challeneges or pose a sutiable physical deterent as a defender in this country.
