Oh well, Manny back in then I guess. Maybe he's had time to reflect on the fact that he can't take his place for granted

Almunia was going to play anyway

That penalty save a couple of seasons back was a match winning save.

He has a habit of making them.

Only net ball fans would say he doesnt make them

Maxzimus - October 29, 2009 03:12 PM (GMT)
Doesn't really matter, Almunia is hardly going to make matchwinning saves.

Let's just hope the forwards are on song and the defence put up a decent show!

Def these players are just having a big laugh at our expense- and I do mean expense

LuvDeGooners - October 29, 2009 03:15 PM (GMT)
They draw names each week. £1.00 a go.

Rosicky: "fucksake lads!! It's me again...."

Eboue: *giggles*

Sneaky bugger :sulk:

it's the curse of arse.com

Interviewer: "So (insert recovered crocked player), how does it feel to be back?"

Crocked player "great, it's been hard watching the lads and not being able to play, but they've done really well"

Interviewer: "It's like you are a new signing"

CP: "Yeah I feel great"

Interviewer: Thanks [lunges in for handshake, pushes player over resulting in injury]

CP: "Awwwwwwwwwww, Colin!"

Time to recall Almunia TBH for the NLD

Elche - October 29, 2009 04:13 PM (GMT)
The Goalkeepers are all ...more of the same...so it hardly matters who's in goal.

More concerning is missing Rosicky...When he played Cesc and Arshavin clicked, when he didn't they reverted to this season type...playing poor.

I've come to the conclusion we bring all our players back too early, and therefore risk injury.

I garantee Nasri will be injured inside 2 weeks. Hes out for months, plays 60 mins for reserves, then straight into a full 90 mins last night.

Result - he'll be injured in 2 weeks....you wait and see.

Your probably right about Nasri...I'm just waiting for the headline.

And Eduardo.

It can happen to anyone who has just come back from an injury, thigh or groin strains are common in players who have been out for some time
we have the best facility's at the club when it comes to fitness regime.

Maybe they over stretch to much in training.

Rosicky is a worry tho, I was hoping that we would see him get a long run in the side, but then again............

LuvDeGooners - October 29, 2009 04:25 PM (GMT)
It was interesting to hear Merse (coherent) last night, talking about how hard our boys are trained. They really get put through it apparently......

Must admit I am not too fussed Fabianski won't be available for us against Spuds, although I'm in no way happy about the injury.

I think with a potentially fast paced and venomous attack, the young Pole would be hard pushed to keep a clean sheet. He didn't look quite settled or in control during the game at all in my opinion, and made some rather rash decisions at times.

Out of Manone and Almunia, I think Almunia should get the nod. He has a point to prove, and to recalim his place ... and there is no better time than in a derby. If Manone is between the sticks, I won't feel that much worse. I agree he has made some blunders, but they are more just silly errors from lack of experience, rather than full-on mistakes.

Flava Flav - October 29, 2009 09:45 PM (GMT)
All 3 keepers are crap anyway so it doesnt matter which one plays
