Title: Match Reaction
Description: v Tottenham
Ach - October 31, 2009 02:40 PM (GMT)
Great performance and great win.
MOTMs will be hard.
Vermaelen was just brilliant.
Welcome back Almunia. Good game from Arsenals number 1.
Full backs looked good.
RVP continues on his great form.
Arshavin did a great job as well
Song was immense.
As for Spuds, getting closer?
Not even with Twattenburg giving them all the decisions did they get near us
Alias - October 31, 2009 02:41 PM (GMT)
Should have been about 8-0. WTF Eduardo at that miss
Lancastrian Gunner - October 31, 2009 02:43 PM (GMT)
Worthy winners, very satisfying :scarf: :D
Marc Overmars - October 31, 2009 02:43 PM (GMT)
Fantastic win that could have been even more.
Sagna and Vermaelen were the pick of the defenders, aerially they were superb, especially the latter. Sagna's 2 crosses were also superb for RVP goals.
Song was solid too, bossed Palacios and Jenas.
Great day.
JackTheLad19 - October 31, 2009 02:44 PM (GMT)
Great win. Van Persie's scoring run continues and great performances all over the park. Song, Vermaelen, RVP and Sagna were excellent.
A joke that the Chav got away with nothing against his name but Vermaelen booked for a good tackle
Top4 Tottenham :haha:
They were atrocious. Think before you speak eh Keane?
Ach - October 31, 2009 02:44 PM (GMT)
Do people still want Palacios?
Thank fuck Wenger didnt get him.
Wenger knows.
Hes been shite whenever ive seen him
newguy - October 31, 2009 02:44 PM (GMT)
Great performance as goals count.
Didnt play that well, but then we did have Diaby playing. :run:
Song was excellent, but Cesc was fantastic, especially in the 1st half, where he worked hard.
RvP is back on his game
Diaby is cementing his position on the bench
Eduardo is proving that playing out of position will effect your game long term - not to wenger maybe?
Defenders were solid, all 4 of them really.
Almunia was o.k, didnt have much to do, but when he did didnt mess up.
Arshavin was hungry in the first half, lossed his way in the second, need players to get back fit as we are moving into Novemeber which is usually the month when disaster strikes.
Milla - October 31, 2009 02:44 PM (GMT)
RVP continue his great form
Sagna hugged the right flank like a bitch, two great assist.
Vermaelan, Song, Gallas were all awesome.
Spuds :pal:
21_GOONER_SALUTE - October 31, 2009 02:45 PM (GMT)
Poor team play (attacking wise )
individual talents took chances and stood up
spuds collapsed
every thing went our way.............. next game :coffee:
Power_n_glory - October 31, 2009 02:45 PM (GMT)
3-0. Could have been 4 or 5.
Kept a clean sheet, good defending and our big players turned up for the occassion.
Ach - October 31, 2009 02:46 PM (GMT)
Great team performance as well.
Defensive and attacking wise.
Herbs - October 31, 2009 02:46 PM (GMT)
Syn - October 31, 2009 02:46 PM (GMT)
We dominated the game because the whole defence was superb. Vermaelen and Gallas were very comfortable. And Clichy and Sagna had brilliant games - both in attack and defence. Arshavin tracked back very well which meant a suspect midfield containing Song and Diaby weren't too exposed.
Very professional stuff.
Maxzimus - October 31, 2009 02:46 PM (GMT)
Great win, good solid hard working performance...defended well too.
RVP great again, he's a key player for us these days.
goonergeorge - October 31, 2009 02:46 PM (GMT)
Song was a beast today! Tackling, cutting out passes, intercepting everything

McNamara That Ghost... - October 31, 2009 02:49 PM (GMT)
Very, very happy. Next league game Wolves away and Man Utd away to Chelsea the day after.
Will be Glory-Glory time shortly I envisage.
Marc Overmars - October 31, 2009 02:49 PM (GMT)
Actually a little disppointed we didn't score more, I really wanted a whopping scorline to ram it home. On the basis of the performance though, I think it's obvious they were battered anyway.
do do do doo shame about the Tottenham. :pal:
Ach - October 31, 2009 02:50 PM (GMT)
2 goals and an assist for RVP
Jack Bauer - October 31, 2009 02:50 PM (GMT)
Easy win, didn't even have to get out of 1st gear at times. Spurs were absolute cack, it should have been at least 6 - 0, but poor finishing let us down. I haven't seen many of their games this season but I thought they were meant to be better this season, on this showing it doesn't seem so.
Vermelean and Gallas were absolute beasts in defence.
The fullbacks had a good game for a change.
Cesc and Song bossed the midfield.
RVP took his chances well. Arshavin worked hard throughout the game and helped create space.
Diaby
Eduardo. I hope he gets his shooting boots back for the next game.
Marc Overmars - October 31, 2009 02:53 PM (GMT)
I would of loved to of been in the ground when Cesc scored. What a fucking moment that effectively ended the game as a contest.
Cesc.

Sooner Nasri is 100% the better.
This guy sticks out like a sore thumb in our team, tbh.
Save me Jebus! - October 31, 2009 02:56 PM (GMT)
Great win, Im well chuffed as we were playing with 10 men.
Diaby should be dropped for the next game, time to get nasri back. He touched the ball twice in the first half.
Ach - October 31, 2009 02:56 PM (GMT)
Tbf to Diaby, if ROsicky, Nasri and Denilson were fit, he'd be nowhere near the first team.
So what do we really expect from our 6th/7th choice midfielder?

True.
Good thing he's solid players around him.
JackTheLad19 - October 31, 2009 02:58 PM (GMT)
We're scoring at 4 a game at home in the league and 3.2 a game overall in the league.

Not convinced about that. Only Denilson would get the nod ahead of him. While we all see Rosicky and Nasri as central midfielders, I'm not sure Wenger does.
Not Diaby's fault he's being picked though. It's Wenger's.
Marc Overmars - October 31, 2009 03:03 PM (GMT)

Because he prefers to play on artificial pitches instead of only the semi frozen ones...?

Why the f@ck couldn't Robbie and Harry have shut the f@ck up?
All the paper headlines will be the same, Sky will dine on this for a week, etc etc etc.

Diaby did some decent defensive work in the 2nd half, tbf. Him and Song shut down a few Spud attacks through the middle. There was that one occasion when he hadn't got a clue what to do outside our area but other than that, he did alright.
Still very wasteful in the final third though.
RVP Left Foot - October 31, 2009 03:11 PM (GMT)
Great win
Great game
:scarf:
Should had been 4 or 5
Diaby did not have best of games

I guess the problem is, it takes him until we get 3-0 to calm down and think. Still, he did play a good through ball for Eduardo that should have been 4-0.
