Tis unfortunate. He wasn't that bad today. As I said in another thread he and Song stemmed the flow of Spud attacks in the 2nd half pretty well.

You can tell he wants to do well so I feel for him.

I really fail to see what he brings to the team though. Takes far too long to pick a pass and is very prone to get caught in posession. Watching him dribble around in circles before he knows what to do is very frustrating...he just isn't on the same wave length as others.

He was awful today but hes 7th choice so we cant expect miracles

I get frustrated with him because I think he often plays us into trouble and I think he doesn't have any sense of being a team player - just wants to impress for himself.

But I recognise (or should recognise) that it's not his fault he is playing. It's Wenger's. If the people in the crowd have a problem with it, their 'abuse' should be directed at Wenger.

he lost the ball basically everytime he touched it..I seriously lost count at 13 or 14..it was ridiculous.. I think the drop has been due for quite some time

He was poor, but crowds have no excuse to abuse him. There were 11 Spuds players they could abuse but they chosed our own color. :thumbdown:

He did fuck all today. He touched the ball twice in the first half and one of those he couldnt control. He slowed down and stopped play in the second, when he did get the ball he dithered with it and went round in circles.

He was also tackled way too often and had no 'physical presence' that some thought, at all.

He was shite, no excuse for not getting behind him tbh but it's understandable.

Wenger gave him a final chance, he's stayed fit and had a run in the team, in his favoured position and he's done very little to suggest he's going to improve. Usually I don't like to slag players off and get a bit scapegoat-y about it but he's had his time and Nasri or Ramsey should play in there instead.

Really hate it when the crowd starts baying for an Arsenal player's blood. FFS hes playing for our club. Yes he was shite 1st half but he was fantastic second half, he really was. He will become a fantastic player...but putting pressure on him, unfairly IMO doesn't achieve anything. AW chooses the players, not the fans.

It was very physical in midfield today and we needed Diaby to give Cesc and Arshavin time and space to play in.
