A much-loved white squirrel was killed after he was hit by a car in Dorking.
The squirrel was killed as he crossed Mill Lane just after 3pm on Tuesday, October 27, and has been buried close to nearby St Martin’s Church, where he was most often spotted.

Did you ever get your infestation sorted out?

And by infestation, I don't mean that rash you got.

Oi, numbers, what's the inside dope on this? Do squirrels go to heaven? Or only if they get a burial in consecrated ground?...Mind you as this sounds like suicide doesn't that affect the way things are viewed when they reach the Pearly Cat Flaps?...

I'm not sure squirrels have a soul but I'd be willing to bow to theolo, Jens' Face or Mr B's greater knowledge.

oddly enough he was seen playing a cheeky one-two off the 'no ball games' sign by the council houses down the road...

Oh no - I've got a picture of that squirrel I took in Dorking churchyard last September when I went wine tasting with a friend.

I'd never seen anything like it so snapped a pic

What a shame

How many times? Going out and drinking 2 pints of wine is not a wine tasting day!

My daughter bought me one of those gift packages and we went to Dorking vineyard (you only actually get 3 tiny tasters there so funnily enough was very sober that day - at least until after the wine tasting).

We stayed for the night in the railway pub and saw that squirrel the next day.

I thought this thread was about the Highbury squirrel. THAT would have been truly devastating.
