I went to the Cenotaph at the weekend which was a very emotional time but it filled me with pride to see our war heroes standing together wrapped in medals and honours

Before this I visited the Imperial war museum on Friday and whilst I was there a group of school children were on a tour and I watched in horror and disgust as one of the kids performed a Nazi salute and the others were laughing!

I held my tongue but it makes me sick at how disrespectful and unappreciative todays youth is in this country :banghead:

Because thats what kids do.

Those heroes died in the war so those kids couldhave a laugh, yet you tarnish their memory by pontificating over what should pass as humour for those kids.

What a backwards statement! "That's what kids do"

I suppose if kids broke into your mothers house and burnt it to the ground you'd say the same thing because "That's what kids do"

Those heroes fought for this country to remain this country and not to be occupied by German forces, it has nothing to do with the kids being able to go to a place of rememberance on the most important week of the year for those men and make a mockery of what they stand/stood and fought for!

I'm not equating anything.

You're lumping "That's what kids do" as some sort of whole, that kids can do anything nowadays because "That's what kids do"

Kids CANNOT be allowed to perform a Nazi salute, especially not in the middle of a museum on the week of Armistice! It's not "Having a laugh" at all, it's a huge insult to anyone who fought/stood up against Nazism.

If it starts with Nazi saluting and is not responded to properly, it will lead to other things, worse things.

It's like drug users, they start off with something like marijuana and move onto stronger things.
