Two winners last night, each winning £45 million squid!

I hope our syndicate at work is one of them!

I can't believe it, I'm still in shock...

That's nice of you, but I don't do the lottery.

Would be quite funny if Adebayor was one of the winners.

Well sure. The FTSE had crashed horribly and longer term there was only one way it was going to go.
I'm no financial whizz and I'd be the first to admit longer term it's probably not a good idea for me to be in shares (I'm too impatient and panic too easily!) but I give myself some credit for seeing the opportunity over the last year to get in while things were so depressed.

Fair emuff, but you should also consider that two people in britain have made a similar decision to you and their return has changed their lives forever.

Doing the lottery doesnt make sense, but if you are very lucky then you can walk in to work on monday and tell your boss to do one! Thats worth £1.50 in my book.

I'd run out of things to do/buy after a couple of million.

Save it for the future innit

Bunk Moreland - November 9, 2009 12:31 AM (GMT)
How much though?

If you invest your money in property and business, then you're pretty much guaranteed a return.

(If the business is a curry house, like mine will be then its easy money)

Yeah I guess if you've got that much to burn you can invest in anything really and keep a steady income to balance the outlandish spending.

Man I wish I were rich.

*buys 50 Lottery tickets*

Still reckon that the biggest sole winner - Dolores McNamara from the Emerald Isle, all 77million of it - should have a good long look at the family tree one day.....
