It was talked about when there was the Sky/Virgin debate a couple of years ago, but in the end Sky kept it(which they were always going to)

Thanks all, I was considering switching but I know sometimes we end up on Sports Xtra and the red button is handy for Football first.

Virgin is ok for games we're on Sky Sports Xtra because we're on the main the channel not behind the red button.
But it would be nice to have the red button on Virgin for football first but it would never happen.

You're quite right it does, but it won't work on Sky channels.
