Title: What To Do In London?

McNamara That Ghost... - June 29, 2006 11:13 PM (GMT)
Ok, this should be good.

As in 2 weeks today I will be in London, incidentally for two weeks...what should I do?

I await the responses with :haha:

Letters (TPFKA WWTL@WHL) - June 30, 2006 05:51 AM (GMT)
I wouldn't have thought either of you would be leaving the house much.

PGFC - June 30, 2006 06:33 AM (GMT)
Stare at the big things!

Get Lost and annoy the locals by asking for directions

Take a boat trip down the Thames

Go Shoplifting in Harrods

Spend the day in Covent Garden

Attach yourself to a party of Japanese Tourists and see the world from a different perspective.

Get an Oyster card

Drop some Salcombe Smokies into my parents?

take a tour of the Grove

More to come.....................

Pants Model - June 30, 2006 06:43 AM (GMT)
Visit Madame Tussauds, why you ask.

Cause I've not been in 13 years and I bet its pretty good.

Maccy spend a whole day in the West End pretending not to speak or understand English, that's most amusing for you and anyone you meet.

Pants!, thank God your alive

He's from Plymouth. He won't have to pretend.

I went to Madame Tussauds with my niece a couple of years back and it is really good. I went to the NY one last October, and ours is better.
Take THAT, New York :fingers:

Flava Flav - June 30, 2006 07:29 AM (GMT)
Spend all your time savouring the local rituals, such as eating Jellied eels, dancing in a silly manner to Pearly queen type music, walk around wearing a bowler hat and carry a brolly, ride "the tube" until you get mugged, see the tower (kick a raven and knock the hat off a beefeater) take a zippo lighter into the waxworks and "edit" some of the carvings..........

Nozza - June 30, 2006 08:02 AM (GMT)
Oi, geezer, it's not so much what to do but more like what will happen...you'll get ripped off...

Still here's a few suggestions...

Visit the Lamb and Flag and laugh at the men in suits

Visit the Intrepid Fox and laugh at the Danish Goths

Visit the Admiral Duncan and get hit on by one of the locals

Visit the White Horse - the best little Horse House in Soho and you might get to meet Gary Bushell

Visit the King of Corsica and drink with the street porters and street walkers

Visit the Dive Bar of the Kings Head in Soho and laugh at the Art Students

Visit the Polar Bear and get in a fight

Visit the Salisbury to see the fantastic Victorian Mirrors and wonder where all the women are.

Visit the Tom Cribb and wonder how a pub so small can survive..

Visit the Cheshire Cheese and drink in the same pub as Samuel Pepys

Visit the Punch and Judy and gob on the tourists below

The White Horse near Liverpool street is always good for a midweek lunch time drink. Chuck in £1 and you get to see some camel toe too.......

Apparently

PGFC - June 30, 2006 09:16 AM (GMT)
You could start off on Old Kent road, mind the local box, the on to Whitechapel Road, avoiding government officials, then off to Kings Cross station.............
