Hmm, Carrick for £18m or Rosicky for £6m...

Deal or no deal!

dont forget the "add 10mil because he is English" rule though

It's a ridiculous amount of money to spend on him. Really, United should not be complaining about Chelsea's spending, they spend enough as it is:

Veron - £28.1m

Ferdinand - £30m

Rooney - £27m

Ronaldo - £12.5m

van Nistelrooy - £19m

Carrick - £15m

Saha - £12m

bkyler - July 28, 2006 05:23 PM (GMT)
they paid more for VERON than for Rooney?

those crazy fucking mancs

Coca Kolo - July 28, 2006 05:39 PM (GMT)
18 million for England SECOND choice holding midfielder....by golly thats crazy

but if the debt ridden mancs want to spend money on shit i wont stop them. :D

Here is a good example of why not to buy English. Even fat Sam agrees

Daylight robbery......

Don't like the idea of Spuds being 18mil better off

hey now we'll get our cash once Cole gets sold and hopefully Wenger's got a plan already set

Carrick is good buy for Man.Utd if you consider their midfield was practically inexistent.

But..what price????

We shoudn't need to sell cole to finance signings. We will sign no-one

this deal confuses me

Mascherano for 14 mill or Carrick for 18 mill? tough choice- NOT

Spuds need a left sided player and want to buy Downing

Well lets see who has the last laugh, £18m may seem a lot but if they get the success back then it will be chicken feed. Their keeper is world class, defence is as good as anyones, up front is not a problem with the addition of Rossi, Soljsker back and scholes back, all they needed was a CM which they now appear to have.
They will be the closest and only challengers to Chelsea this season

the funny thing is Wenger was going to sign Carrick for £3.5m in May 2004 but changed his mind. And Spurs bought him for i think the same fee. And 2 years later he's going to united for £15m.

That's why Wenger doesn't buy English because if you don't get him cheap first eg. curtis davies and carrick your gonna have to pay a fortune for them when they play well in the prem.
