And yet the people who run our game at the FA are partly responsible for this mess. It sure shows what a fine job , Edelman, Friar, Dein and Fitzman did when ensuring the Grove was done on time and on budget.

The thing is, they have no incentive to up the pace of the work because the fines per day due to the lateness have been receded. So they can basically take as long as they dam well please now. The company Multiplex has already lost £200 million from the project.
