Title: Leather slip collar
Description: looking for recommendations

kealagirl - October 1, 2009 01:47 PM (GMT)
Hi Guys, just after reading Rach's thread about half checks I though I would ask if anyone else uses leather slip collars?

I need a new one for Ellie for work, the one I currently bought the leather has gone soft where the collar moves up and down and now twists in on itself which means it doesnt release when Smellie stops pulling.

Just wondered if this is a common problem or if anyone can recommend a good one. I have only had this one a few months. It is the flat leather type. I previously had a rolled leather one but it starred wearing away.

Thanks in advance

Ive had them over a year now and they are still in great condition, nice and flat. I like the look of the one Pam has posted though and might try them when Im ready to renew.

Believe it or not Sue thats the one I have got at the moment. I can only put mines down to Ellie pulling so much and the leather near the ring softening so quickly. I might give Pams one a try as the ring looks bigger and maybe wont wear at the leather so much :)

Hi Julie probably about the same time but I have had my half checks for several years from them what I like about this one apart from being adjustable is the width of the leather I will measure it when I go downstairs.

Sorry Julie not been back on it is approx 1in wide and a 1/4 in thick (as the leather is double thickness)
