Title: I might get a puppy here for a few weeks

I have been asked if I could have a GSD puppy in a week or two, hoping that my dogs can teach the dog behavior and dog language. The puppy has lost its mother and now shows that it is very unsafe and scared some dog breeds. I asked the owner to bring the puppy to the dog club last Monday, and he did. The puppy was very afraid, even if it was 200 meters away from the training pitch .. and raised the hairs from the tail and up to the neck. We decided to let it get greet my dogs .. we took out Heidi first since she has huge mother instinct ... and it was friends with the same .. puppy went to sleep until Heidi and Heidi washed it before it went to sleep. An hour later got the puppy greets Laban ... which also went all excellent. Then came the question ... can you have the puppy with you for a couple of weeks, to socialize it with other dogs. I'm a little unsure ... but I think ends up having it here. When I feel fresh from the swine flu, I have agreed to work out a little with the puppy ... because I know it will be an excellent dog. It was unfortunate when her mother died .. but it is still small and can easily be formed

That will be great Evy, the pup willl earn a lot from Heidi and Laban and hopefully overcome it's fears.

Sounds like Heidi & Laban will help socialise the puppy. Poor baby loosing its mum so early :(

just got a call from the owner of the pup. The pup went to a family with a bitch with puppies this afternoon. Feel abit sad cause of it because it would be nice to have a pup in the house again. But I know I should be happy.. now the pup can even get a better language... puppymates to play with and a "mum" that already is a mum.

aw bless the pup :wub: and well done for offering, I'm sure puppy would have done well with your 2, but like you say maybe it's for the best as it will have little brothers and sisters to puppy play with
