Title: RUSSIA INCITES WW3?

SHUMA-GORATH - August 8, 2008 11:10 PM (GMT)
Earlier today, Russia attacked Georgia after Georgia shot down two planes. The USA and other nosey nations are calling for ceasefires. When Russia doesn't pull out, sides might be chosen, and greater conflict could happen.

:huh:

No WW3 gonna happen. Things are not as tense as the First and Second started.

I think Russia's just throwing its weight around, also different countries have(in my opinion) turned a blind eye towards Russia because of all the "stink" being made about China in recent months

Umm actully South Ossetia is part of Geogria. The Geogria Army was trying to get back it's own territory under it's contorl. Russia got into casue most people in South Ossetia have Russian passports. Russia then took the fighting farther by go into Geogria it's self and casuing more damage to towns and cities that where know where near the start of the fighting.

Er the South Ossetians earlier held 2 reverendums both times voted of 90% for total indendence. That muppet of a leader of Georgia just IGNORED the votes + attacked aided by shadowy groups ransacking the towns and killing the villagrs. Russ stopped this and GOOD FOR THEM FOR DOING IT!

So your saying that you like the idea of Russia taking the fighting to poeple who didn't want to lose there family and homes. Beside South Ossetia is only has Russia recongizeing there indepence from Geogria not even the UN see South Ossetia as it's one nation. Hell the leadr of South Ossetia has said that Russia well annex it.

john2054 - September 3, 2008 11:08 PM (GMT)
Ok the Un is a tired old dog, they have proven that in letting us + uk attack Irak. 2nd s ossetia dont even have their own leadership at the moment, i think you must have been talking about Geog pres talking on their behalf btw no1 likes him not even georgs!
And as 4 russia they went into G 2 stem the invasion not some rampage like some of u lot think! Take it easy. J

o lawd is dat sum lulz?

Anyway, yes South Ossestia was officially still part of Georgia. So officially they were still part of the same country.
But the nation of South Ossetia hates the Georgians and their goverment. After numerious terrorist-like attacks by South Ossetian seperatists you'd think everyone would realise that they don't F'in like each other.

And as the guy with the large hat who was shot in a theather said;

"A house divided amongst itself cannot stand"

Pressing militaristic action towards public targets was also disgusting. Shooting missiles at a capital with citizens in it?
srsly, as low as Terrorism. For both sides.

What they should have done was talk the situation out peacefully, which is supposed to be the modern matter of solving conflicts if the ol' pops taught me right. The UN get's a facepalm for not being involved enough in the matter.

And while it is obvious that Russia did not get involved because of the reasons it stated, and their reaction was supposed to be pressing alot of pressure on the UN to solve the conflict;
Everyone knows every single goverment on the modern world is made out of dis-honorable lying self-servants. Every goverment. No exceptions. Every goverment would have done the same would it be in Russia's position.
Or atleast something similiar, since Putin has more balls than every world leader on this planet together.

Honestly I'd be rather pissed off too when the world superpower wants to set up missile defenses close to your border, does that tell you that you're trusted? Trick question.
Being surrounded from all sides by a former enemy is not very comfortable either.
(The former enemy I'm referring to is the NATO)

Not saying that there is an excuse for the way Russia acted. They were wrong, and so was Georgia. And so was South Ossetia in it's attacks. And so is the West for getting all nationalistic and biased because of this. And so was the entire conflict, and all intentions and actions carried with it.
