Well the last generation was Discuss the character: SPECIAL.

NOW ITīS CALLED DISCUSS THE CHARACTER NG: XTREME!

But the core is the same so

Letīs start.

What do you think when you hear next generation?
HD graphic, HD sound, online, innovative controlls...

Online. Yes. Unfinished games, long installations, patches, updates and add-ons you have to buy...good that I play on a console and not on a PC, just plug and play. Yes. Thatīs why I love consoles...

Thanks to the next generation, itīs gone. Yes. Now we have to wait twenty minutes till we can start the game, then have to wait till the system update is downloaded and installed and then thereīs the 1.01 version of the game...when you finally play, you realize you bought an unfinished half of a full game. You search in the "console online store" and there you find the rest of the unfinished half of a full game.
So you buy, download and maybe have to install again.

But thatīs only the bad version of it(YES IīM LOOKING AT YOU SCIV AND NAMCO)
MGS4 made a good job of giving us more than our money is worth and recently EA release a Burnout Paradise PSN store download for 29.99$ and an add-on with weather effects and motorcylces for free...YES FOR FREE.

Since itīs Capcom weīre talking about, itīs probably not going to be free, but some new stages and characters wouldnīt be too bad. Maybe they turn some NPC(if there are ones) into a playbable character, give us some new stages, etc....I could see that, if itīs not too expensive...

So there could be a good end and Cacpom gives us a full game and some extra content in form of DLC, milks us a bit, or gives us a mix between DW6 and SCIV whereīs allmost everything missing and start a milking farm.

So even if it could turn out bad, would you want, or not want it?

Letīs discuss. ;)

Sorry, but I have to object on this one. As I live in a country where both average income and internet speed aren't that good, I might have difficulty purchasing and downloading these DLCs. I'd rather see them releasing another Heroes in which the save data is intertransferrable like the Wii version. -_-

Oh...now that I think about it...I donīt want DLC.

Maybe bebause of the NG Capcom will try it again and release it in the US and even europe, but as long as they donīt do it, there will only be japanese DLC.

Is there a way to download japanese DLC?

Anyway, since SCIV, Iīm a bit sceptical about DLC.
But the same for expansions, seeing DW6.

Well, SB2:H was pretty good, in terms of content of course, thatīs what it was about,itīs true, I too, would rather have a big game and after some time another half game...if that makes sense

It also depends on the console...since I still have a working Freeloader, I could play in on my Wii, BUT I would rather like to see it on a PS3...but than again, the temptations making DLC is definietly higher on a PS3(maybe XBOX360)...

-_-

I'm hoping for no DLC.
I would'nt be able to access it since I own a European PS3.And I really would'nt want to spend Ģ50+Shipping for a half finished game where I could'nt access the other half as I have a Euro console <_<
I also don't want it to be 'Wii' exclusive as I've read somewhere the latest 'Wii update' disable's 'Freeloader'....and I kinda update my Wii....all the time.
What i'm hoping for is a full game with a good amount of content, better graphics and 'tweeked' gameplay and some NPC's.
I'd then want an expansion pack(Like 'Heroes') where i can play as the previous NPC's and has more content. B)

I made the last update and the freeloader still works....my neighbour did it and it doesnīt work anymore. I guess it doesnīt work on every Freeloader...

But till SB3 comes out...I wouldnīt be too sure about it...

The best solution would be, for the ones who want a PS3(Xbox360) version and more content/expansions, DLC and for those who donīt have interent another Heroes expansion.

Or just the expansion, also, Capcom wouldnīt have to pay for putting it on the PSN Store/Wiiware channel/Xboxlive market...

I guess DLC isnīt that loved afterall

My thing is, if they DO use DLC, I would rather it be just used as the fodder that would be an alternative to "Xtreme Legends/SB2:HEROES" style updates.

For a nominal price, and a reasonable download wait, you can update your game in a cheaper fashion than it would be to plop down $15-25USD for an update disc that would do the same thing. It's both economical, and more convenient, for those who would desire it. But if you choose to (or can't do any better), you could still go get that update on a disc the traditional way.

Until DLC gets to that kind of plateau, though? Forget it. At this point, Mega Man 9 and Bionic Commando Rearmed are looking to be the first games I download through some service of some sort. Beyond that, it's yet another next-gen perk that has yet to really enthrall me.

I say, as long as it's not too expensive (and if the content is okay), then it's all good. (And as long as I can get my Internet working).
