Title: Imperial Decree of Ceasefire
Description: And so the cherry blossom fluttered
Sengoku Robo Samuraioh - December 3, 2007 06:21 AM (GMT)
An edict was suddenly released through the land: an Imperial order for all clans to cease hostilities for exactly nine months' time. Despite suspicions, the clans obeyed this order. However, it did not disallow military build-up or restructuring, and thus the clans continued these actions to solidify their positions. Along with this order, it was stated that to determine the next ruling clan of Japan, a final decisive battle would be held in Owari Province. This unorthodox order was unprecedented, but the clans decided it would make things much simpler in the long run...
Akechi...
Toyotomi...
Tokugawa...
Hojo...
Mouri...
Chosokabe...
These six clans have survived the tests of the warring states era. Some through brutal conquest, some through cunning guile, some through braving out the chaotic storms of warfare.
The final battle soon approaches on the eve of the ninth month... The place: the plains of Sekigahara.
---
In the capital...
"I have once again done as you ask, Sel Agales. What purpose did this ceasefire even serve? The clans will simply fight again once the time runs out," asked the weary Ogimachi, wizened eyes looking towards his white-suited captor.
Agales laughed before responding, "Everything has a reason, dear Emperor. The timing necessary for my... our group's plan, it comes at the end of these nine months. The awakening draws near. All that needs be done, is to offer a final sacrifice."
The secretive man laughed darkly as he held his hat to his head, his slitted pupils glowing green in the shadow of his hat's brim...
---
What this has to do with the clans: when the final battle starts, you will NOT have to worry about your troop numbers. You will be given a set number of troops per player that reflects the progress your clan made through the game. In effect, this will likely give the Akechi, Hojo and Tokugawa large armies, Toyotomi a medium army, and the Mouri and Chosokabe small armies(or none, depending on if they're even in the battle.)
Koku will be a non-factor; there will be no "time limit" on the battle.

I just have to say i feel slightly cheated (Prepares for the "SWCJ mods are all gods" and "Omg don't call me names" speeches, but i don't give a toss)
This cease fire couldn't of happened at a more convinient time. At first i was fine with it, but now thinking about it more i am slightly pee'd off. This came just after the Uesugi surrendered to the Akechi. It just really does seem unfair, if i had of known there was going to be a cease fire, then maybe i wouldn't of surrendered to the Akechi, and woulda stayed as the Uesugi.
All i'm saying is if people hadda been given notice, then things would be different, ALOT different. I do feel cheated, and i really don't care less what ANYONE has to say about MY opinion. I should be allowed to have my land back if i so wish, or something like that. I really do not find this fair  .

If I may, I believe this ceasefire was caused because of your surrender. If you didn't, you're right, things would be different.
(Just my opinion on the matter, you can choose to ignore it if you wish and get a real answer from SRS)

How on earth did my surrender cause it? It's not like a huge forum war started over it. If that was really the reason, then LMAO. I'm sorry, but that'd be hilarious.
I don't care if i don't get my land back, i'm more then happy at the Akechi, it's just i was a little annoyed how it happened without any notice at all, because as you said things would be different.
Forget i said anything, i just think it was a little unfair is all. But whatever, i'm probably gonna get shot for sharing my opinion anyway! But neh, victory to de Akechi ;) .

...I made the ceasefire in response to STARTING THE GAME BACK UP and preparing for the final battle. This was meant for the remaining clans to not pull any stupid crap while things are prepared for the battle(see Invasion event from earlier with the Otomo doing crap, Liang doing crap during YTR in DWCC, etc.)
Stop the damn conspiracy theories. Those were a big part of WHY I originally ended SWCJ: do you want it stopped for good?
Regarding your surrender to Akechi, that was entirely your decision. Personally I was annoyed by it after I spent so much work on those maps(which, particularly Kasugayama, were skewed a lot in your favor) but to claim that I made the ceasefire after it when I had declared the final battle deal BEFORE I stated the ceasefire...? How the heck could I have given prior notice to a meta-game ceasefire caused by final battle preparations caused by my starting up SWCJ again caused by my wanting to give the game and players a good ending? 2 + 2 = 5?
And yeah, it IS unfair to the Uesugi considering that, because of their great accomplishments in the game, they would have likely had one of the largest armies for Sekigahara. Unfortunately, crying over spilled milk is a practice in futility.

Hey does the game take place 9 months later?
SHUMA-GORATH - December 7, 2007 12:13 AM (GMT)
I swear to the heavens, all clan members of the Uesugi must be freaking retards.
-_-

what do you mean by that?
The Dragon - December 7, 2007 12:47 AM (GMT)
No need for name calling....do we really need to start this stuff up again. Let's just let things be what they are.
Not all of us are "retards" Ujimasa.

Wow, someone's really showing their maturity  .
And SRS, i said forget it. One of the reasons i was bringing this up was because of Shigezane, all on his lonesome without any land to have. Yes, i'm still a little annoyed as to how the ceasefire came just after my surrender, but i guess it was just coincidence. As i said, i'm more then happy at the Akechi! All the officers are so sweet, so this is no big problem to me. ^_^ .

Why bring it up then. Look at all the trouble you've caused on this thread...
Miho - December 7, 2007 12:37 PM (GMT)
Rofl, at first i wanted to, but now i can't be bothered :P .
And if sharing my opinion causes so much trouble, then that's tough. It's sorted now, so shh you. Otherwise i'll come kill you in the final battle xP .
Sengoku Robo Samuraioh - December 7, 2007 10:20 PM (GMT)
But, I've already spoken to Shigezane about this. He still gets troops as a free officer. Not MANY, but he still gets some.
SHUMA-GORATH - December 9, 2007 04:45 AM (GMT)
Even though there has been a ceasefire, may I be allowed to send out some ninjaninja to search for a certain missing person? Not making any agressive act towards any other clan, but just this one missing person who has no affiliation....
>_>

Edits out the name* I think I know who you are talking about.
SHUMA-GORATH - December 9, 2007 05:26 AM (GMT)
I'm pretty sure you're right in knowing who I speak of.
