Title: Cecilia/Byron/The Mystery Man
Cecilia Norwood - June 27, 2007 11:33 AM (GMT)
Hi everyone!
I have a plot in mind for Cecilia, but I need a little help to pull it off.
First off let me tell you a little bit about Cecilia. She’s a very proper woman, though not by her own desire. She wishes freedom from a marriage of convenience, a marriage she only undertook because of her family’s precarious financial situation (her mother had a spending habit and after her father died, she bankrupted them and used Cecilia as a way to save the family name and clear her debts). She is a woman utterly trapped and desperately in search of something that makes her feel something more than just duty and propriety, she wants something that evokes her passion and desire, something or someone she can actually love. She has no real affection for her husband Byron, a man who wanted a beautiful well-behaved wife but doesn’t see her as something to occupy too much of his time with, often leaving her on her own for lengthy periods of time to carry out his business.
She has a desire to help others and a fondness for the theatre, something her controlling mother finds repulsive, but Cecilia still enjoys.
My idea is that while Cecilia is on her own, while Byron is away on some business trip, she meets someone. It of course is nothing but a friendship first that blossoms into more despite her efforts to deny her feelings. I think it would be interesting if he were someone her husband was familiar but that Cecilia is not aware of, and with whom Byron would find nothing suspicious with him visiting their home under some pretext but really to see Cecilia.
I think it would be more interesting if there was someone to play Byron and someone to portray the Mystery Man who wins Cecilia’s heart. I think it would be very interesting to have the three in situations together, the reluctant wife, the wealthy and somewhat controlling husband, and the man who has claim to the lady’s heart ;)
I am open to any suggestions you might have, so feel free to add something of your own if you are interested.
Thanks :D

Well, I don't know that I have anyone that could suit for this plot, but I can bring in Sarah to play with you in your new thread if you'd like someone to post with for the time being. :)

I happen to play two men, though one is old and fat and poor and the other has the emotional maturity of a seven year old. Neither of them is really romantically appealing ( I'd imagine ) but if you want them for another thread/plot that's fine and dandy. :)
Mjinga - June 27, 2007 03:51 PM (GMT)
I play a ton of men. :) Mebbe if you looked through the charry lists and picked one, and if it happens to be mine, yuh, sure thing (providing he's not in a thread atm, but I'd be willing to do a thread as soon as he was out, of course).

Alright! I just wasn't sure if you wanted to continue that thread. I've modded Candace outta the way so we can move ahead or close it off, whichever you like.

Yuppers, I saw. :) You're not escaping Charles that easily, m'dear. I'll have him up quicker than you can say Jack Robinson.

Mjinga I looked through your characters and I think Nils would be great for the part :) I liked Alastair as well, but I think Nils would be better suited and his work would mesh well with Byron's to establish a connection between the men. What do you think?
Katherine Townsend - June 27, 2007 04:44 PM (GMT)
Secret-PMs, hmmm? You evil anonymous mod, you. EVIL, I say, EVIL.
EDIT - ooooh, Nils! That would be an awesome story.
