Title: Madeline And Jacques History
Description: Something more...

Jacques Deveraux - June 28, 2007 08:05 PM (GMT)
My sister and I decided that Jacques and Madeline are going to know each other.

Once, when he visitied America, he visited her family together with his, and Madeline tried to make a move on him.

However, he refused her. He is the first man that has ever refused her with no reason obvious-no other woman, no marriage, he just didn't want to be with her. That's why she kinda respects him. :P

(And still has hopes he could once change his mind...)

This may be important for a plot we have in mind after Jacques gets beaten up in Brown's and kills somebody...

More to come soon! :P

Just a note, though: We'll need the judge!

Err... me talk some more to you and your sister.

Madeline Smith - June 29, 2007 06:32 AM (GMT)
Whatwhat? Did we do somethin wrong?

Evan Stewart - July 9, 2007 08:46 PM (GMT)
All right! :D

So, here is what we have in mind.

Now that Jacuqes killed a man and maimed another one, he is going to be arrested. After the trial, he is going to be convicted to hang.

Madeline will read of this in the newspaper, and come to visit him. There, during her visit, they will arrange an escape attempt.

Mikhail(ATTN:GREG if you want him to...otherwise Madeline will have to seduce another man ;) ) will be talked into helping them by Madeline.

Details of the Great Escape to be discussed!

I just need Greg to say whether Mikhail would do it...

Errrr... You might have wanted to get permission for the escape before you went and had him actually commit the crime, since we have rules on keeping things realistic and an escape from jail seems... well, extreeemely un-realistic to me....

So we'll have to think about it...

EDIT: Buuuut.... It did happen sometimes after all, so if we'll prolly fink up some kind of realistic way to do it. Sorry I was snappy. I didn't realize you had talked to Liz.

Mjinga - July 9, 2007 09:03 PM (GMT)
Um, I said he could escape, if you kept it realistic... er... um... you might want to detail the plan a leeeeeetle more?

Etcetera - July 9, 2007 09:05 PM (GMT)
Yeah.

Hehe, datt what I meant in my edit (I edited before I saw Liz' post)

I was just like: "Gah, we SAID people have to take responsibility for their actions, and then she goes and plans that and wants to avoid it. Stupid!" and got biatchy before really talking to rest of staff. v.v Sawwy.

First I need Greg to agree...

Is it realistic if there is a tunnel underneath the cell Jacques is kept in?*thinks not*

Is it realistic if Mikhail somehow arranges it for Jacques to be put into a dead prisoner's coffin and taken out? Then Mikhail could play the undertaker and Jacques would...escape.

*gotta run, my dad will turn off the net. more info tomorrow*

EDIT: And it's okay, Kirs. :)

QUOTE
They were also forced to use numbers instead of names for the same reason. Silence was maintained at all times in the prison, and reading the Bible was the only activity other than labor that was permitted. Reformers believed that cutting inmates off from the world would foster meditation that would lead to rehabilitation, so visits from family or friends were prohibited. On average, inmates spent two to four years alone in their cells, underneath a single round skylight.

That information is for an 1860's prison. I can't find anything later, but since I know there was reform around this time (approx 1880s), I will be willing to let Madeline visit Jacques. However, since I do know that prisoners were still treated horribly, I'm thinking he still would have a number rather than a name, and Madeline would definitely not be in his cell.

Should she be outside of it?

And could I presume the guard called him 'Deveraux' because he tried to be polite because of her charms?

Mjinga - July 19, 2007 05:35 PM (GMT)
She could be outside of it, yesh, but the guard would not break prison rules. He'd lose his job and he'd know it. He'd prolly bang on the bars and go something like "On your feet, Number ####!" He'd also be close enough that he could intervene in case Jacques tried to grab her through the bars and strangle her or something, but far enough that low conversation would be a murmur (to be polite and all).

Something to note is that afterwards, like once she leaves the prison, Jacques would be strip-searched and his cell inspected to see if she gave him anything.
