Title: Suggestion
Description: Concerning The Nightstand Drawer

I was thinking-why don't you give a sub-board to everybody that wants one? I'd luuurve to have a sub-board for Madeline's Writings.

We could possibly do that, but why, when I assume the journal would be all in the same thread in the first place?

I was thinking that we might want to subdivide the forum between Letters and Journals/Diaries, actually... I think I'll do that, h'actually. Unless you object, Kris? *prepares to change back*

EDIT: Hmm, while I'm on the topic of the Nightstand Drawer, let me inform y'all that your fonts are not working, but appear as times new roman. Right now the only curly-font that works consistently is "font=cursive" or "font=script".

I'm working on a tutorial on how to get the fonts to display properly. It's slow going, cos I have to learn how myself, first. ;)

Well. Iiiiiisues here with that. Your fonts won't work on me comp, but they work on Sam Munro's comp just fine (thanks for helping me with this, btw, Doc).

She suggests that's because I haven't got them in my font library (which is true) but ones that I do have in my font library won't work either. Not sure if this is a Mac problem or what. v.v

Anyway, since they do work on hers if she has the font, but not if she doesn't, me gonna assume that for PCs, you just have to have the font for it to work.

Therefore, I institute a new rule: If you're gonna use a fancy font, give a link to where it can be downloaded.

Inna meantime, for us poor Mac-users (which is just Jess and I, I think) I'll keep looking for a solution.

For us poor bebes with Macs (and maybe for PC-peeps if it's not working right?) we have to enter the font tag exactly how it appears in Microsoft word.

For example, if I wanted to use the font Bodoni SvtyTwo, since this font has seperate ttfs in the font-folder, I have to pick which one I want to use, and enter it how it appears in the microsoft font list, i.e. "font=Bodoni SvtyTwo ITC TT-Bold".

For a more concrete example, I searched around until I found WhisperWrite and added it to me fonts. WhisperWrite is the font that Brenna used. Hers doesn't work for me because she wrote "font=whisperwrite". If I were to write the tag as "font=whisperwrite medium", it works for me.

Screw macs.

And yeah, I'm okay with the splitting.

Mkay. *leaves it*

Oh, and this is the ONLY forum where funny fonts is okay. *nodnod*

*makes a note of it in the rules* <--Kris and I already agreed.

Liz, you were talking like Dr. Cox, there.

Mjinga - July 13, 2008 06:08 PM (GMT)
Excuse my ignorance, but who is Dr Cox?

Oh, sorry. I've been watching Scrubs for the last ten hours of consciousness.
