Title: Characters and NPCs

1) Characters- When creating a character, you can not copy one from a movie, book, tv-series etc., or characters that don't belong to you. What you can do is base your character off someone. Please remember the copyright rules.
- Before you can start rp-ing with your character, it must be approved by at least two staff members. If there's something we think you should change, than we will let you know. We are not doing this to be cruel or to patronize, but we want characters to fit with the setting.
- Please do check this thread for restricted characters before creating one. Some good advice is also to check the character masterlist for approved applications and perhaps some ideas for plots/connections or what is needed. We love a bit of freshness and originality.
- No magical powers are allowed. Period.
- Your character can not be all powerful or the richest person alive etc. There are no kings, queens, emperors etc. in this rp. The richest and most powerful person in this rpg is the Earl of Lindeboshire, who is played by staffers.
- If your character has a past (or something else) involving another character on the site that does not belong to you, then it has to be cleared with the owner of that character.
- If you have any questions at all or need help to understand something, please contact one of the staff members or post in the "Questions & Suggestions" forum. We will be happy to help you.
2) NPCs- NPCs (Non Player-controlled Characters) are often needed to get the storyline moving. Sometimes players create their own for a limited period of time. Sometimes a player may have one regular NPC attached to their PC (Player-controlled Character). The owner of an NPC is always the one to decide its destiny and personality, so unless stated differently, the same rules go for powerplaying as with PCs. NPCs that are created as bystanders or for plot-purposes only, however, are for anyone to use.
