Name: Matthias Bram Zachary
Avatar: Hans Matheson
Occupation: Clerk at the book store, "The Missing Chapter" run by the Zachary Family.
Age: Twenty-three.
Gender: Male.
Appearance: Matthias Zachary is usually the guy known for being "shy-but-cute." True, he is indeed a handsome young man, with a very angular complex. His hair is of a fashion known to those in the upper-to-middle class ranges. It is slightly long in the back, while gently shorter at the front, and parting in the middle with a slight lift in the hair. The color is a very "strong" black, which seems to both stick out from hs somewhat pale complexion, but also blend with therest of his body. Matching eyebrows tend to be relaxed and forming the illuion that his eyes were warming themselves into you as you spoke to him, or were furrowed together in a studious manner as he pined over a book, or stared out the window of the book store day dreaming.
He isn't the tallest fellow, standing at five feet and eight inches (5'8) and at a rather thin figure. Though he does not appear strong, he can, and sometimes does, suprise others with a decent amount of strength. It's reasonable to say that one would have a decent fight should they engage in one with him. With this slightly scrawny build, it is also drawn out on a somewhat boney face. High cheek bones are prominent in his face, and deep dimples can be seen whenever Matthias flashes his shy smile.
He is usually dressed in the latest of fashions, seeing as how he can manage to afford it. What he mostly seen in, however, is usually a dark colored peacoat in the day, or a fashionable, yet still dark cloak during the night. This was worn over top of a lighter colored double-breasted waistcoat. Underneath the waistcoat, a lighter shirt of linen or cotton, with a tall collar usually pushed down, and around the neck a wide dark colored cravat.
The shirt was always tucked into light trousers, with the waistcoast tightly pressed against his upper body. The overcoat or cloaks were always hanging around his body. The trousers are of the newest fashon, a fly-front, instead of the fall-front. And, for any court-formal manner, breeches would be wearing. And, always polished high fitting boots were worn, goign over the light trousers which were of a tight fit.
Usually atop of his head, he wears a tall hat of a less curvy nature, following the trends of fashion. And, though moustaches and sideburns were still "in style", he felt he looked better without the excess hair.
Personality: One could describe Matthias as the silent, but polite kind. Though, his silence does not come from the fact that he cannnothold a converstion, it is from the fact that he usually has nothing of real importance to say. Though, he is known to hold a conversation of sheer entertainment with other citizens.
Though he is an upper-middle class citizen, he is not quick to judge others due to their social class. Though, one cannot deny that assumptions can be made from one's social standing.
Matthias holds politeness very close to heart. Watching a woman open a door for herself simply is rude in his opinion. Each person should have their turn to speak without being interupted. And, each person should have their turn to speak in a conversation, or even debate, both friendly or unfriendly.
Another trait he holds closely, is honor. Should one lie to him, or break a promise, he feels that one's honor is diminished.
History: Born to Elizabeth and Whitaker Zachary, he was born into an upper-middle class family, which had owned and run the book store sine the beginning of Lindebo, so it is safe to say that Matthias was born and raised in Lindeboshire. And, at the time of Matthias' birth, it was his grandfather, Geoffery Zachary, who was running the book store, and his father who was working underneath. There has always been two Zachary's minimum working in the bookstore, and usually the father and son, but there has been noted times when other Zachary's worked together.
Such was the case with Geoffery, Whitaker, and Matthias. By the time Matthias was ten years old, he was helping out with small things here and there for a simple pound. Thanks to the business of the book store, the books grew newer, arrived quicker, and it expanded the book store, aswell as provided the funds to give young Matthias an education. When he was thirteen, he was given a part-time job, delievering books to certain houses, or even helping out as a clerk.
Usually, his mother helped out around the shop, cleaning, or making food for the Zachary men who were always workig on something. But, when Matthias was fourteen, his mother grew pregnant. During this time period, she didn't work half as much as she normally did, and Geoffery Zachary was beginning to get older, more frail, and more sickly. So, as everyone does, Geoffery stopped working to live the rest of his days in peace with his wife, Rosette.
Soon after the birth of Matthias' brother, Elias Geoffery Zachary, Geoffery passed away due to his older age, and soon, Rosette followed the same path as Geoffery. With this, Whitaker made sure that his son still worked part-time until he was finished with his education.
When it was done, and his brother Elias was ten yers old, he and his mother began to work full time. And, so, is history eds with the present, with young Matthias working full-tme at the book store.
