Hehehe...i am just SO excited! :D I just rang a not-so-local pet shop (about a 45min drive) to see if they had any baby cockatiels and guess what?! THEY DO!! :clap: And guess what even more?!?! They're whitefaced!!! :clap: And guess what even even more?!?! They're $65 and don't bite and are very friendly!!!!! :clap: And guess what even even even more?!?! I put one on hold!! WHOOOOOO!!! Now, to get dad to take me! :rolleyes: Could be fun! But the lady said they're very friendly, don't bite and are about 3 weeks out of the nest. They have clipped wings and can you tell i'm EXCITED?!?! :lol: OMG! I could have a cockatiel by the end of the week!!! :D

I felt the same way when my parents said I could have Penny. I was bouncing off the walls. :buzz:

Personally, not that I know alot about tiels, but I would say female because of the grey on the face, of course it could just be the mutation.

Normal (yellow or white face) babies all look like females. If he's a boy he'll get a white face and if not he'll stay like that forever. :wub: Probably wont get him tested cause i really don't mind and i can wait. Names...i like Darcy, Andy, Donnie, Peanut.

I like Andy and Peanut! :wub: And with those names it doesn't matter he/she is a boy or a girl.

Mum's not thrilled but she's not mortified either. S/he's about 8 weeks old. I handled him to fix up his wing clip (the one the pet shop gave him was a bit dodgy) and he's sat on my finger a couple of times too. I don't want to push him though, he needs to relax. Holding a tiel feels soooo different to a budgie! They feel MASSIVE. :hehe:

OMG. This is such a delayed reply... but I can't believe I didn't know about it!!! WOW :D I'm so happy! S/he's gorgeous!! I named my friend's tiels.. she got a boy and girl ages ago, and I named the boy cookie, and the girl cream... like the ice cream flavour cookies & cream lol.

So how's s/he doing now? been handling her/him a lot?

Well he's addicted to head scratches. It's cute, he can be having a totally hissy fit at me but if i start scritching he'll stop, sometimes with my finger still in his beak (he doesn't bite hard), and get this look of pure bliss on his cute little face. :wub:
