Title: What not to do with swords.
Hey_dude - March 17, 2007 08:49 PM (GMT)
A) Stab yourself in the leg.
B- Go on a killing rampage without bullet resistant armour
Seriously, it's a bad Idea.
I'll post a picture of the resulting wound tomorrow, after I'm allowed to remove the bandage and change it, but in order of events, I was fooling around, and moved too far to stab behind me and caught my leg...and made it look like a vagina.
It was still dry by the time I got my pants off, but was starting to bleed and gave me the impression of being on the rag.
Step one if said event happen through carelessness- Don't let the meat out.
Step two, wrap it in some cloth
Three: Tie a belt around it to slow the flow of blood.
four, Get your mother fucking ass to a mother fucking medical facility.
Note, keep wound above head or face passing out.

hey, near fatal wounds are reason enough to skip school right?
Syaoransbear - March 17, 2007 11:37 PM (GMT)
Hey_dude - March 18, 2007 12:35 AM (GMT)
It'll still be there monday.
Cheamo - March 18, 2007 12:44 AM (GMT)
:^_^:
How is a leg wound near-fatal? Although I encourage missing as much school as possible because of it.
Hey_dude - March 18, 2007 01:00 AM (GMT)
There are some big veins in the thigh.
Especially Big Beefy thighs like mine, they use a lot of blood.
Cheamo - March 18, 2007 01:06 AM (GMT)
I think you would have to be bleeding for a long long time to actually do any permanent damage.
Juno - March 18, 2007 01:10 AM (GMT)
If you stab someone on the inside of the thighs they can bleed to death pretty quickly although to do it yourself would raise numberous and often confusing questions.
Hey_dude - March 18, 2007 01:19 AM (GMT)
Danielle - March 18, 2007 05:06 AM (GMT)
Cutting yourself on the inside of your thighs so no one can see, ehhh?
Hey_dude - March 18, 2007 08:45 AM (GMT)
I TODL YOU FUCKERS THAT IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!
I WAS CONSIDERED LEAGALLY INSANE (Becuase this was within some time of just waking up)
PixieDust - March 18, 2007 02:17 PM (GMT)
And I thought it was impossible to do something like that by accident.
Juno - March 18, 2007 05:14 PM (GMT)
How could it be impossible to cut yourself with a sharp object? That statement is almost as dumb as actually doing it. (No offense Hey_dude)
Hey_dude - March 18, 2007 09:01 PM (GMT)
Some taken. Also, I changed the bandages and got pictures, But I'm not sure weather to put nsfw tags around these.
So I'm going to just in case.

Close up [/nsfw]

location [/nsfw]
So I realized I was only about two-three inches away from self-castration.
the.lamp - March 18, 2007 09:07 PM (GMT)
there's no way a wound that small could've been fatal
Syaoransbear - March 18, 2007 09:08 PM (GMT)
BOY OH BOY THAT ONE INCH CUT SURE IS LETHAL!
Hey_dude - March 18, 2007 09:09 PM (GMT)
It definitely looked better without stitches, but I said it was almost lethal.
Besides, it wasn't me saying that is was almost fatal, that was the doctor that done stitched me up.
Edit, why do you think bullet wounds kill people, those are smaller yet than mine.
Edit 2:
It may not have been a large stab, but the location is what set it off.
Heres a scan from my pocketbook, with relative location of my wound.
Note the vein I have highlighted: The great saphenous Vein, a superficial vein, longest in the body. no more than an inch over and I may have hit it.
Cheamo - March 20, 2007 06:34 AM (GMT)
good job nick, you almost castrated yourself
Hey_dude - March 20, 2007 10:11 PM (GMT)
Hey, I was two inches from that.

Bob Dole - March 21, 2007 04:38 AM (GMT)
You wouldn't kill yourself. Even if you got the vein, you would be able to go to the hospital in time. Remember just add pressure and elevate. If you got the artery, there would be different problems.
Hey_dude - March 21, 2007 10:13 PM (GMT)
well, arteries in the leg are a little harder to hit by accident.
but think about it bob, 11:40AM on a saturday, how long would I have lain there before my parents suspected something.
Cheamo - March 21, 2007 10:45 PM (GMT)
How long did you have to wait at the hospital is the real question here.

You know, even though you were stabbed, your voice is still functional. Unless you are just going to sit there with a sword in you.

A bullet wound is much, much worse than a stab wound. You can just hold a stab closed, a bullet will bleed out unless you have gauze. A bullet will break your bones and tears deep into your flesh. Your wound isn't even close to comparable with a bullet wound.

like two seconds because it's lunch time on a saturday and everyone is up by then.

I get light-headed around such things, and my mom was out so my dad and sister were playing video games upstairs.

I couldn't have just held my wound closed, the meat underneath the skin was torn and I didn't feel like touching it. but yes, my wound is much less severe than a bullet wound. but it's deeper than a picture of the stitches looks. A bullet wound would look even smaller, and yet it is much more lethal.

My dad wouldn't have expected me up by three.
All in all, I admit it wasn't as severe as I made it sound, it could have been-under extreme circumstances-But it plain wasn't. I lose at cool, but win at mediocrity.

PS. Hi from work, Danielle!
Danielle - March 22, 2007 09:56 PM (GMT)
i was wondering if you were home or not, then being confused.
hi!
Menello - March 22, 2007 09:59 PM (GMT)
I'm at home... with where I am right now. And by that I mean I wish I was home. Or something.
melie - March 22, 2007 10:49 PM (GMT)
3 stitches? That's all?
I've had about 80 stitches in my day, granted not all in the same place, but c'mon man. SUCK IT UP.
Menello - March 22, 2007 10:56 PM (GMT)
Wow. I've never had stitches.
Cause I never go outside B)
melie - March 22, 2007 10:57 PM (GMT)
I was a pretty active, clumsy kid. Still kind of am, just less active.
Menello - March 22, 2007 11:00 PM (GMT)
Man... everyone's post count is so damn high. Friggin. I got into the game pretty late.
