the.lamp - March 26, 2007 04:01 AM (GMT)

Menello - March 26, 2007 04:04 AM (GMT)
I didn't remember that either! But I have it bookmarked now, so it's ok.

ApexeqA - March 26, 2007 05:31 PM (GMT)
umm.. whatever, I had no Idea that board existed. But ya the movies will be all of Tarantino's Films.
  • Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2
  • Reservoir dogs
  • Jackie Brown
  • Pulp Fiction
    (in no particular order).
All those movies are really awesome, so I'm already excited for this night.

Cheamo - March 26, 2007 09:40 PM (GMT)
Um, I'm not sure exactly what to do about order, but I was actually strangely thinking about have it exactly as Alex randomly made that list.

Danielle - March 26, 2007 10:01 PM (GMT)
Make sure I'm there for Pulp fiction

Pleease

ApexeqA - March 26, 2007 10:09 PM (GMT)
Awesome! I own at random lists... o and thanks for cleaning up what I was too lazy to fix there lampy.

the.lamp - March 26, 2007 10:09 PM (GMT)
what can I say, I love lists

ApexeqA - March 26, 2007 10:11 PM (GMT)
lamp, are you stalking me? It took you like 5 seconds to respond to that...

Menello - March 26, 2007 11:13 PM (GMT)
We should split up Kill Bill. For whatever reason.

Cheamo - March 27, 2007 12:43 AM (GMT)
No way, the first one is crucial to the second one and they were really designed as one movie anyways.

Menello - March 27, 2007 08:10 AM (GMT)
Well duh. But it would be cool?

Hey_dude - March 27, 2007 11:14 PM (GMT)
oh yeah, kill bill vol 1, then one of the other movies, then the second.

or the second at the end.

Bob Dole - March 28, 2007 12:11 AM (GMT)
If it was on Saturday I could come. I'm in Calgary on Friday.

Cheamo - March 28, 2007 12:59 AM (GMT)
Shit that sucks, I guess that means Brandon can't come either, although I think Matthew told me he wasn't going. Hmmm, I don't know if I can change it now, but I'll check. How is Saturday for everyone else?

Menello - March 28, 2007 02:03 AM (GMT)
Danielle and I would have to get there late, if I came at all.

Hey_dude - March 28, 2007 05:28 PM (GMT)
I have an appointment at 3:00 with SGI , so after that I could come.

Danielle - March 28, 2007 09:50 PM (GMT)
On saturday I work 8-midnight :(

Zangk - March 30, 2007 12:05 AM (GMT)
I can come, but unfortunatly I think very little of them Quentin Tarantino movies you listed. I just don't like them and think they are the worst things ever made. There would be no point of me coming so I won't.

Cheamo - March 30, 2007 02:39 AM (GMT)
That's good because you're not invited due to a terrible taste in movies. Kill Bill vol.1 is the only one with anything at all wrong with it. Although you actually can come if you want, just no complaining.

This is still tentatively set for Friday I think' but I might change the order again to:
kill bill
pulp fiction
kill bill 2
jackie brown
reservoir dogs

ApexeqA - March 30, 2007 02:51 AM (GMT)
Wow, zank mocks tarantino, one of the best directors in film history and definatly the most original. But yet he claims that movies like the cheesy and somewhat pointless "accepted" is a classic movie. Ha, truly you've never actually observed the depth behind these works.

Danielle - March 30, 2007 04:11 AM (GMT)
Patrick, can you not invite Jason to things anymore?

Zangk - March 30, 2007 04:18 AM (GMT)
Apexeqa, I never said "accepted" was a classic, I just thought it was funny. I do agree it was pointless, but that is the kinda of humur I tend to enjoy here and there. Classics are more memorable than humour will prabably ever hope to be. What I do consider classics are movies like Willow, Independence day, Indiana Jones, Starwars (episode 4-6), Die hard movies, The Newsies, Count of Montecrito, The three musketeers, the man in the iron mask, A walk to remember, Atwone Fisher, I am trinity (1-2), jimanji, Forest gump.

I consider all these movies great classics, while the Tarantino unassuming and shitty in comparison. The movies that I did see, like kill bill was kinda stupid. The worst would have to be reseviour dogs. That was the most pointless movie I ever saw. You say that he is best director in film history and the most original. That is only purely speculation, you have no unbiased proof for your statement.

The only reason why I have "bad" taste in movies is because I am the only one in this group that disagrees with what most in the group like, inwhich seems to be a no-no and makes that person automatically stupid and point of view void. And no cheamo, I have to decline your offer yet again, I have more important things to do.

Syaoransbear - March 30, 2007 04:27 AM (GMT)
I've never seen any of these movies so I'm coming. What should I bring for food stuffs.

the.lamp - March 30, 2007 04:38 AM (GMT)
If there's going to be an argument on the quality of the movies, please make a different thread in media. That would be cool. Or I could split out the argumentative posts if people want?

Menello - March 30, 2007 04:52 AM (GMT)
I don't see how anyone could like Jimanji but not Kill Bill or Pulp Fiction.

ApexeqA - March 30, 2007 05:16 AM (GMT)
Zangk, are you saying that by watching those movies you are not part of the main-stream group? Because your completely wrong. Star wars and Indiana Jones probably has the largest fan base or following since the Church. Tarantino is actually considered an out or "artistic" director, that has swaed away from the hollywood fad of concentrated special effects. And yes I know Kill bill is a gore filled undeveloped movie. But it is actually just the prologue to volume 2, wich is the true art of the series. Wich makes it even more great.

I don't know why Im arguing with you, since your just an arrogant stubborn man who wants to voice his opinion in some smart ass way that will display your straight edge and dare I say artsy opinion. And no matter how wrong you are, you will never admit defeat.

I'm not saying what your stating is harmful, unjust, or an invalid opinion; it's just uneducated, unsupportive, and exactly opposite of mine.

Cheamo - March 30, 2007 05:36 AM (GMT)
Don't argue with Zangk on this issue, he won't listen ever.

QUOTE
Patrick, can you not invite Jason to things anymore?

If I'm understanding that badly worded question correctly I will say that in the future I could not invite him to things, although I would sort of like to know why, but I already did invite him to this, so obviously I'm not going to retract that. Although he's not going to be on time, I know that.

Whatever, chips and pop are always good.

Danielle - March 30, 2007 05:40 AM (GMT)
Well, I know you asked him, he asked me at school if I was coming.

And that makes me uncomfortable, now that he is currently teaching me I don't feel like hanging out with him ever. again.

And I really want to come to this, if its still on friday that is.

Edit- Matt, did you say a Walk to Remember was a good movie?

GAAAAY

ApexeqA - March 30, 2007 01:57 PM (GMT)
ya, still on Friday.

Hey_dude - March 30, 2007 09:45 PM (GMT)

I unno, I got a bag or Dori toes sitting on my bar that I'm gonna haul along somehow.

Finally got around to oiling my bike chain, that things rusted something fierce.

EDIT: what time?

Cheamo - March 30, 2007 09:51 PM (GMT)
I'm starting Kill Bill vol 1 right at seven o'clock.

Syaoransbear - March 30, 2007 09:52 PM (GMT)
I'll probably bring some chips and either creamsicles or vanilla bars. Vanilla bars made me sick last time though.

Hey_dude - March 30, 2007 09:56 PM (GMT)
I'll eat them all. then you don't have to worry about getting sick, oh wait, you shouldn't worry so much as expect it.

EDIT: someone bring those "rounds" chips. Those are good and salty and I like them.
