Pronounced, Tonkinwah, it seems its use is mainly on boats etc. Has anyone else any experience of using this substance? I've been looking at a
photo of a wooden cabinet that's received this treatment, and it looks very good, it's expensive though. :(

Never heard of that, Dave. When my brother put a tongue and groove ceiling in his kitchen years ago, he used yachting varnish on it because of the moisture from cooking etc. :)

Yes, it's supposed to be impervious to water, even gets rid of the brush strokes.

I suppose it depends where your cupboard is going to stand, Dave. If it's going to be in a damp area, then the marine varnish will pay dividends! :yes:
